I don't think many of us are "freaking out". Just wanting to know if the situation has changed. Sure, there are some fans that are always ready to drop the "Yep, he was just playing us all along. On to ________ now" at the drop of a hat. But, those are the people that are always weirdly afraid about getting "egg on their face".
We knew going in that this was far from certain. It doesn't appear to be over. Of course WSU is going to draw up a new contract. I'm not sure why they haven't already. It still comes down to which offer he likes more. And, hopefully, there will be a tuscaloosa visit before he decides.

Wish he would decide sooner. Coaches convention at the final four is usually a great place to hire a coach.

Agree with this. Sounds like he's informed them that he's leaning toward taking it and they've asked if he could wait until they can put something together as a counter.

For all the Bama basketball bashing the shockers are doing, you wouldn't know they beat us by 1 pt at their place this year.

Closer to $3M as in $2.75M or closer to $3M as in "we'll pay you $3M"? If they pay him $3M he's likely staying there. Bama's offer is at $4M and I hope enough to get him to move, but he'll have to appreciate the effort by WSU.

Fully agree, we need to go Charlie Wilson on them and outspend the Shockers by enough to where he and his family would be so incredibly hard pressed to say no, they just simply couldn't say no.

I'm surprised no one has taken advantage of the situation and rustle the Jimmies of the shockers by posting "Marshall and Family to visit UA this Friday and thru the weekend. Friday evening is dinner with AD B. Battle and wife, and Coach N. Saban and wife. Campus, facilities and support system tour scheduled for Saturday. Surrounding area (potential neighborhoods and school systems for the kids) tour on Sunday before departing that evening."

Battle should call Marshall's agent and ask, "what will it take for Gregg to take this job". Then when he gets the answer just say, "consider it done, but I need an answer by noon tomorrow." Get it over with one way or the other.

Just get them on campus. That's all I ask. If they visit, and don't like Tuscaloosa and the piles of cash, more power to them. No hard feelings and move on. I just don't want him to say no because the family thinks they wouldn't like it.
