Sure, if its just GM making the trip, he could have done that any day. But if he wants the entire family on the trip to see what's what, then he needs to wait until his HS kids can make the trip. Thats the reasoning I have for saying it will be Thursday/Friday.

If it's a family decision, somebody needs to get the family on campus. Point out to the kids that alabama isn't a giant corn field. Mention the best beaches in the country are a short drive south. The mountains are in the north. We have actual rivers and lakes. Show them, despite what their friends say, Alabama isn't one big scene from Deliverance. Show them what one of the best athletic departments in the country looks like. Show them some new friends. Mention that with 4 million dollars a year, they can fly back to the corn fields to see their old friends any time they want. Show them what a tree looks like. It really should be an easy sell, other than moving away from friends.

Holy crap, I just realized it's 2pm here. Sorry, I've been up since 3am, turkey hunting. I'm not sure what the 1:00 was then. I think they're probably full of shite.

Also realized I misread the 1:00 pm thing. They think AS OF 1:00, they have reason for optimism. When their good news is supposedly coming is left up in the air.
