I wish Alabama were about to lose to Wisconsin
I couldn't handle 2 final four losses in 1 year.

Hearing the meeting went very well between Avery Johnson; perhaps even better than hoped #FingersCrossed #NeedNewEra #Bama #RollTide

They also went 67-15 with him before and he was one of the quickest coaches in terms of hitting winning milestones.
Firing a coach for a slow start ain't exactly much of a red flag on the coach as it is a red flag for the organization.

Think he'd be a fantastic hire.

Although there was no immediate confirmation a deal had been finalized, Johnson reportedly emerged as a strong front-runner for the position and several media outlets in Johnson's home state of Texas confirmed he would likely accept the job if offered.
That was in Cecil's article

The way he talks kind of reminds me of Steve Harvey.

Pretty much just that Johnson and Prohm have met with Battle. Johnson is the favorite. He hopes a deal will be reached by tomorrow if the two parties can agree on $$$.

Avery Johnson Roasted on NBA on TNT
Even when we lose he'd give us a reason to watch the post-game press conference. With his kind of personality to go with his resume, I'm not sure how anyone could think he might not be able to recruit. It would be one of the strengths of the hire.

Here's an article with an interview with Greg Pop after Avery was fired from Brooklyn...
Gregg Popovich blames Avery Johnson’s firing on the ‘fickle, volatile business we’re in’
The part that makes me think he's more interested in college coaching...
College coaching can be fickle as well, but it pales in comparison to the nba.

“Of course, many of us were surprised to see what happened in Brooklyn. From my perspective, Avery’s not a good coach, he’s a very good coach. He’s a hell of a coach. He’s proven that. There aren’t too many of us out there who have ever won 67 games in a season. He’s taken a team to the Finals. If my memory serves me correct, he was Coach of the Month. It sort of shows what a fickle, volatile business we’re in. We all know that. Avery knows that, too.

If we get him; we should nick name him "Big". Then the headlines will read:
"Avery "Big" Johnson and the Tide dominates Kentucky"
