Guessing you didn't watch the game, just looked at stats....Jalen was a big reason we beat MSU.

Yep jalen's play won the state game, sure as hell wasn't the defense. I love the narrative of we win "in spite of him". Tells me some people see what they choose to see.

Jalen has carried the team a few times too.
Name those few times and then let's look at the stats that will show that your statement is full of shite. Let's deal in facts. Saying it doesn't make it true.

Dude if u can't see that his play was a big factor in the LSU and miss St games then there's no hope 4 u. LSU took away the run and he was pinpoint quite a few times. The miss St game speaks for itself, I don't think anyone just had a dream that he led a game winning drive. Stats be damned because they don't always tell the whole story.

A lot of people look at the timing of a play and assume that play "won" the game. But they ignore ALL the plays that got them to the point of needing that big play. And they ignore all the other good plays in the game that kept the team in it. You could flip flop the timing of a big run by Harris in the 1st quarter with a "game winning" run by Jalen in the 4th, and, suddenly, Harris "won the game."
Jalen does make good plays sometimes. Does he do that consistently enough, especially in the passing game, to be considered the guy "winning games?" I don't think so.
And, I think we've beaten this discussion to death. Let's get back on topic and discuss if, when, and how much Tua will play.

At minimum it gives Clemson something to think about and maybe gets us out of an offensive slump.
Look, here's my issue:
If Tua isn't starting, when do we bring him in? After the first 3 and out? If Jalen turns it over? For the 3rd series, regardless?
Okay, and then the same thing, when do we take Tua out if he's doing well, or do we?
If we're playing Tua in order to get out of our slump, and he plays as well as he has in "garbage time" this year, then he'll probably be left in the game, and the Tua era will officially begin.
I'm just hoping we're not waiting for if Jalen implodes, because that's not going to happen. I think that was probably the mindset vs Auburn - if Jalen really implodes we put Tua in - but he didn't, he just overall played poorly.
If the rumors are true, it might be managed similarly to the USC game last year, which would really be exciting

I could be wrong, but I think the plan for that game was to let both quarterbacks play a few series and see who "took the bull by the horns?" Blake Barnett shite the bed and looked like a deer in the headlights so they just played Jalen the rest of the game (and rightfully so).

According to the information presented, Tua “will play”. That doesn’t suggest a contingency plan if Jalen struggles. It suggests that Tua will play a certain number of series.
What strikes me is the speed with which this was reported.... the day after the playoffs were anounced. And, there was a follow up thread in which our source indicated that “the team reacted very favorably”. I find that revelation sort of stunning. Why and how would the team be made aware of a change at qb or qb strategy a month before the game, immediately after the playoff announcement? Could it be that bowl prep wwas about to reveal that there was some change in pecking order, and that the team was given a heads up to avoid any confusion?
Regardless, the source definitely suggested that the team was informed in some way.

If you're referencing what I said, where did I say the team was OK with it? Also I said clearly that he will play in the game just not sure when and how, more to follow.
I hear things everyday, the fact the team was prepping to play another game is normal, it's now the playoff instead of a bowl so to speak.
Here is the thread I mentioned it first.

I don't know the exact specifics yet so I don't want to comment to far away. They just said he would play. I'll know more soon.
Edit: once they start practicing it will be very clear to me what his role will be. They won't show the media much btw. Saban is the king of jersey swaps and injury fakes.

Ok. I misinterpreted the last comment. Sorry about that.

No problem just clearing it up if I did say that. I won't know their reaction until we practice for a few days. We start on the 15th btw.

Clemson will take away everything that Jalen does well and make him do what he doesn't do well...........if the Bama offense sticks with what they have done for 12 games. Having receivers all over field is a waste since Jalen isn't going to take a quick look. He is a two receiver QB AT Best and that 2nd receiver better be the RB. Just like last year the Clemson defense will run to the spot where our receivers run quicker than our guys can get there.

This is off topic, and shows my arrogant side, but what I quoted really bothers me. I miss the days of us saying we would do what we want, when we want, regardless of what the defense does. You think when we lined up Mark Ingram in the wildcat that the D didn't know we were going to run the ball? Didn't matter. I wish we would do that again.

same, a dominant Oline hides a lot of offensive weaknesses. Hopefully we get that back soon.

No idea why Bama doesn't have two TE's on the field at all times. No idea.
