I really don’t think they bring in a WR in the portal. Osani Gayles is coming and he’s elite. Of course, I could be wrong.

Gales is a slot receiver. He’s not a 1. The kid committed to Indiana would have been better.
I agree if there is nobody out there. We get RCW for another year?

Miami is built on a house of cards. Once the economy crash, the money will dry up.

T Green is a RS Junior no?

- LB is in great shape:
X Griffin is just too good to keep off the field although I do like QB Reese (very physical). Duke Johnson is one to keep and eye on too

- Safety:
Jireh Edwards and Ivan Taylor should both be starting now imo
Plus Dre Jr has been good

Nickel: Red Morgan is a stud

- CB:
I assume Z Brown leaves
#5 hopefully can get it turned around
Chuck McDonald is an Anthony Averrett clone….very good player.
Also, Jordan Edmonds, O’Neal, and Zy Gibson will factor in

- That leaves the DL:
T Green, Simmons, Faga, Henry, and Hill all return
- J Beaman FINALLY being healthy would be huge
- I look for Corey Howard, Nolan Wilson and Jamarion Matthews to also be ready to contribute

Needs:
1. Edge:
- Justin Hill is very solid, and by all accounts X Griffin is very explosive when rushing the passer
- Definitely need a “Zulu” caliber Edge who can play right away

2. DL
- Good news is that Wommack got away from the 1-gap oriented 4-2-5 as early as the Vandy loss going back to 2024.

It’s FAR easier to get 1-2 “space eaters” when you play a 3-4 Under Front.
I would like to see them add another 6’4 300lb 4-tech like Thompkins. He has been very good as the weakside 4, 4i and 5 technique

Ranked in Order:
1. Give me a 3-4 DE body type like Thompkins (good news is that many 3-techs in Even-Fronts should be available and willing to play this role).

2. Edge rusher on par with Zulu
(I believe J Hill will be the starter as a JR)

3. 1 more “space-eater” at the Nose/Shade/2i position, unless Beaman can finally stay healthy (since T Green does have another year).

So you keyboard warriors hide out and complain.
Tell me who would you Hire! Fire everybody every two years and we will be back to Shula and Dubose years.

And this is the issue: all of the names they are suggesting would be on par or worse than our current coach.

If these people think a guy that currently has one less regular season win than Kirby since 2024 is trash, we definitely deserve another era of Shula.

The figuring out if this staff’s deficiencies are unresolvable is going to take time and time is something we have in abundance given the contract extension DeBoer just signed.
