Tbh there's no real reason to be super invested in the state of CFB right now. Try to enjoy the games but the product itself is in disarray.

It’s ok. Seems like some coaches are starting to figure it out. Money is better spent on the trenches.

Just got the Tide Pride renewal for season tickets in the mail...just not as exciting as it used to be. Doesn't mean our program is the reason...it's just the state of the game is a complete disaster.

At some point maybe Texas will FINALLY buy a national championship and they can quit overpaying for players out of desperation.

If we’re being honest, why would any high end skill position player (especially one in a contract year) come to UA with the offense we’ve put out the last two years? Even if we’re offering competitive money, it’s almost a risk considering the offensive output.

Im confused as to why we would even go after Coleman knowing we cant compete with Texas financially. I say let Smothers go and go and get someone else.

I never once thought Coleman was actually coming to Bama. And I'm glad hes not. For a number of reasons.

Different time, different era, different situation but this is the exact speech from Bama fans back in the early 2000s when a highly coveted player went elsewhere. We were talking up all those 2 and 3 star diamonds in the rough that “bleed crimson.”

This. Not sure why your post was downvoted. No sane Alabama fan should have expected him to sign with us.

In normal recruiting we’re getting plenty of 4 and 5 stars

I’ll always be grateful for him fumbling away the Iron Bowl.

Ty midseason was on track for Heisman, NFL 1.1 and Bernard was probably going to be an AA.

We have a QB centric offense. When we’re getting high level QB play the other players look great. When we don’t and in particular without a functional OL to stabilize things you get what we got down the stretch after playing the #1 SOS and a string of elite defenses that would’ve made a lot of top 15 offenses look bad.
