Josh Pate also said he thinks we'll try to retain Keeley.

His season ended poorly but I still think he's the 3rd QB in the draft. There are usually 3 to 4 QBs taken in the first round of a given draft class. He really projects well as a guy you put behind someone like Matthew Stafford for a year or two. Furthermore, Rams have two first round picks (ATL and their own) so they can totally use one of their picks as a stowaway and the other for immediate contribution.

Santa
Huff would be a good hire. His player development track record is solid and he knows what kind of blocking scheme DeBoer wants. I don't think a college position coach job is anywhere close to enough to entice me out of a similar NFL job. Worse hours, recruiting and NIL bullshite, you lose your spot in the NFL coaching club that will keep you employed for 30 years even if you suck, etc.

I mean maybe. But we all had a similar feeling when Grubb was hired too...

Who's the second QB in the draft? You aware Moore isn't going into NFL?

Moore isn't skipping out on the NFL if he's routinely mocked as a top 5 pick. That's retarded.

He's mocked as #2 overall a lot of places.

Ty is also being mocked unanimously as a first rounder, although more mid to late day 1.

LINK

It would be silly for him to stay unless this information is completely inaccurate versus what he is hearing in person. You don't skip out on a guaranteed day 1 payday, especially when next year's draft class looks much, much stronger.

I get that. But I still don't know if we are seeing Grubb's offense yet. Maybe we are, and he just sucks, but I watched a ton of Washington games before CNS retired. I remember watching Penix in 22&23, and was floored by how efficient it was. There was very little checking/changing the plays, etc. So, it definitely is not anything close to what we are seeing now.

And look at who holds #2 pick? Jets.

Moore stays at Oregon and get 5-7 million dollar.

Or go to NFL and be drafted by Jets and get his arse hurt behind horrible OL.

I don't see him going into NFL this year.

Go ask Nussmeier how that worked out for him. You don't skip out on guaranteed money.

The #64 pick in last year's draft (last pick in round 2) signed for 7.9 million or 1,7 per year. (4 years). Formby is going to get that for 1 year.

Did I say Formby.

You should check some Seahawks film from last year. We’re definitely seeing Grubb’s offense

Yeah there’s a reason they went from what they were to the number 2 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. Grubb is awful

Yeah and that same reason is why the Raiders somehow won less this season when they were a dumpster fire in 2024.

Here's a hint; Sam Darnold >>>>>>>>>> Geno Smith

Yet Grubb could win 10 games with Geno Smith at QB and could have won 12.

Explains why they couldn’t run. lol. Don’t be dumb. Grubb has no clue how the ebbs and flow of a game work. Literally pulls plays out of his arse random times just to say he can. How many times did the dumb arse run some backward pass or gadget play when we were gaining momentum to just lose 5-8 yards. Grubbs needs TO GO and take his ol coach with him

Why was Grubb such a hot name for the last how many ever years? Genuine question. I always just took the hype as gospel. Did he just lose his mojo when he went to the NFL or something?

That's a different question. Grubb's offense isn't based off running it, it's a pass first concept using vertical plays to open run and intermediate game.

Just because his concept isn't run first or based on pounding the rock doesn't mean he's a bad OC.

Every OC has their shortcomings. Sheridan ran even more of those last year.

In the end you couldn't counter the point; Seahawks are better because they have a tremendous QB and new coaching staff.

Grubb with a QB who could only win 3 games this season under the same HC, helped that QB (Geno) win 10 games.... enough to fool the Raiders helmet cut owner to give him a big contract and sign his outdated aged HC.

Give him credit.

Its a vertical passing offense and it only works with a personel capable of running it.

Grubb gives off Bill O Brian "my way or the highway" vibes.

Hes not going to change his philosophy. The pass that Austin made to Germie on his first drive was the definition of what the offense is capable of.

Ty simply didnt hit enough vertical passes like that all season. We ran a lot of inside and outside cutting routes with Ty, where as I think the goal of the offense is to throw more vertical leaning routes. It requires a gun slinger and Ty simply was too much of a head case late in the year.
