Well which is your preference for that?
Sugar vs Kansas St
Orange vs Clemson/North Carolina
Cotton vs Tulane/UCF

I personally think Tennessee will slide ahead of us in the final rankings, the Sugar would prefer an excited fan base that hasn’t been there in 32 years (lol at that).

I actually think Tennessee won’t. Unless LSU pulls out the miracle we go to sugar. Or if a bunch of top 4 lose or something of that nature.

We’ll see. There’s always some shuffling after the top 4 in the final rankings because at that point it’s all a tv product. And the CFP is the New Year’s Six bowls, not the committee, and there’s no doubt the Sugar would rather have Tennessee. The Cotton, which is stuck with Tulane or UCF, gets thrown a bone in that situation too having Alabama in their game which is automatic TV ratings.

bigpapamac, The cotton bowl looks good from your list. Great stadium, lots to do, fans should enjoy it.

There’s absolutely nothing around the stadium as far as “things to do.” And I’d put Dallas a distant third behind South Florida and New Orleans in terms of destinations.

Especially if Bryce pusses out and doesn't play.

And IDGAF who that triggers. If you want players sitting what you deem are "meaningless games" out, then they should have skipped the Iron Bowl too. In fact, what's the point in any draft eligible player playing after the second or third loss of the season. Hell, why should any player play past the halfway point of the season, regardless of your win/loss record? All those games would be meaningless regardless if you've got the NFL on your mind. frick that. Finish the season out with your team. You weren't gifted a free ride (and NIL money) to sit games out.

Were there mass opt outs against Michigan after the 19 season? No, there wasn't. Saban got Jeudy and Ruggs to play, two 1st round picks

I like the idea of players finishing with their team. But, a lot has changed in 2 years with NIL, transfer portal, Covid opt outs and game/bowl cancelations, etc. The stigma has worn off of the opt outs for bowl games for top players.

I don't like it. NY6 Bowls are big games and should mean something to the players.

It's unfortunate, but it is what it is.

Why should anyone get mad about Young sitting out a bowl game when our coordinators get paid millions and are essentially sitting out half the game in a brain fog calling plays from a bingo wheel.
