Will Boom be in the Alabama Rehabilitation Center for Coaches next season?

He might be.
LSU defense is terrible and the play calling is stupid. Their defense against LSU offense is awful.

LINK ]Report: Wisconsin QB Chase Wolf misses practice on Monday (247Sports)
ETA 10/28: I heard on CBS Sports radio today the Wisc-Neb game is cancelled due to Covid-19 cases at Wisc. Also, Wisc. AD Barry Alverez is urging the B1G to reduce their protocol's 21-day quarantine, due to not a single occurrence of heart issues found among Covid-positive CFB players.

One day after multiple reports confirmed that Wisconsin quarterback Graham Mertz tested positive for COVID-19, the Badgers were without another quarterback in practice. Third-string quarterback Chase Wolf was not on the field with the team on Monday, per Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
On Sunday, it was initially reported by the Wisconsin State Journal that Mertz had tested positive for the virus just days after his five-touchdown performance against Illinois. Mertz is still awaiting confirmation of his positive test, but Big Ten rules dictate that he’ll have to miss the team’s next three games if he does have COVID-19.
With Jack Coan sidelined indefinitely due to injury, the redshirt sophomore Wolf was in line to take over the starting quarterback role if Mertz had to miss time. Now, the team will really be in a bind if both Mertz and Wolf are unavailable...

The Big Ten was forced to cancel this weekend's Wisconsin-Nebraska game on Wednesday following reports of extensive COVID-19 positive cases within the Badgers' program, including starting quarterback Graham Mertz and head coach Paul Chryst. Mertz has tested positive twice for coronavirus since throwing five touchdown passes in his first career start last week vs. Illinois and is subject to a 21-day quarantine, along with other players.
Wisconsin announced 12 positive cases on Wednesday. According to Big Ten protocol, Chryst must self isolate for 10 days following a positive test, while conference rules require student-athletes with positive tests to be removed from activities for three weeks.
At this time, there are no plans to make up the contest since the conference does not have any open dates built into its revised, league-only slate this season...

21 freakin' day quarantine. Wisconsin is toast and just like that so is B1G and their ridicules COVID protocols.
Two conferences will be playing for number one and the rest just for fun.

Seriously. What if the B1G champ cancelled one of its tougher games because of covid? Ohio State is really good but if they only played 7 games and got to skip Michigan, they shouldnt get in over a 9-2 conference champion or a 10-1 conference runner up.

is the big ten trying to protect wisconsin? with no qb, even nebraska had a good chance of beating them. now they get 2 weeks to find a qb. just seems real convenient to me.

If he got the results today he has to be held out against Notre Dame too.

LINK ]Trevor Lawrence positive for COVID-19, will miss Boston College-Clemson (espn)
quote:
The rules established by the ACC's medical advisory group require anyone testing positive for COVID-19 to isolate for at least 10 days after the test before returning to practice, assuming they no longer are showing symptoms. That would also put Lawrence at risk for missing the Nov. 7 showdown with No. 4 Notre Dame.

LINK ]Big Ten nixes Nebraska replacement game vs. Chattanooga (espn)
quote:
The Wisconsin football program now has 16 active cases of COVID-19 after two additional staff members and one student-athlete tested positive since late Wednesday.
The Badgers announced they were pausing all football activities for seven days on Wednesday due to the outbreak and cancelled their game against Nebraska on Saturday. The team has now had 15 positive tests since Oct. 24 and is focused on stopping the spread of the virus.
The athletic department has secured rooms at a local hotel for football players who have not tested positive to try to further separate those players and mitigate the spread of the virus. According to the school, each of those players has his own room and the rooms are all located in the same area of the hotel to limit exposure to others.
The positive tests recently received include those of head coach Paul Chryst and quarterback Graham Mertz, however athletic director Barry Alvarez received a negative PCR test on Thursday.
Because Chryst tested positive, he is required to isolate for 10 days and will be able to return to the team in person on Nov. 7 at the earliest. That, coincidentally, is the date Wisconsin is scheduled to play Purdue.
There is no definitive timeline for the team to return to in-person football activities, but the earliest it could happen is Wednesday, which means there is not yet a definitive decision on whether or not the team will play the game against Purdue.

Really curious to see Lia and little Jacobs play tonight for Maryland. I know Lia had a pretty bad first game, but hoping he improves as he gains some experience.
