Governor Ivey announces that schools will not return this school year. State will work to do instruction online.

I would be shocked if schools start on time in August.

I don’t know how students will be taught effectively the rest of this school year. Many students lack the necessary resources (particularly in rural areas). Many students also do not have parents who will keep them disciplined in their studies.

Many will be behind when next school year starts.

Partisan Hackery is my favorite kind of hackery .

@Cobrasize I'm taking Prilosec and Allegra because if I don't I will drive my wife up the wall worrying over every cough. I hope we have a control on this in December cause maternity wards are going to be full up then .

State health officer says there have been other potential deaths reported in the state, but they are investigating them now, so no new confirmed deaths.

At this point it won't be so much about teaching as it is keeping their minds occupied and somewhat working.

I like when Governor Ivey says “y’all.” It’s like an old
southern grandma.

You would be shocked at some of the time frames some of the top private schools around the country are talking about as. A return date since they have the resources for remote learning. Some have discussed worse case scenario contingencies for 2022.

Hell, to the nall . I love all my future children but that would be one hell of an oops. But since we don't have as much to do you would think we were trying.

Damn divorce courts will be full too.

No way I could ever go in business with my wife and have to be around each other 24/7. We would kill each other

My wife and kids are awful coworkers. I would walk right by the water cooler in a real work place if I saw them.

Wife announced last night she was working from home tomorrow and I've had anxiety over it all damn day. I've pretty much just let the kids do their own thing, but she's not wired that way so I anticipate a lot of bickering tomorrow.

I really don't know how to say what I have to say. My Sister died Saturday morning. She was 58 and had a bad heart. She was rushed to the hospital and died of pneumonia. Her husband and daughter had to wait in the parking lot until 30 minutes before she passed when someone came out and got them.

They say that this was not the coronavirus, but I will always wonder. I live in Marshall Co. and I don't even know if our hospitals even have the tests, or even if they have ventilators, which is what the serious patients need to survive.

We can't even have a funeral for her, but have to wait until this is over to have a memorial.

In this terrible time, please take the time to pray for her family.
