I said they “claimed” in that link. Maybe they were old pictures that immediately got picked up and circulated in an effort to be the first or maybe they weren’t

I clicked the link. It doesn’t specify which pics are old ones, and even includes video of live shots with people milling around on the beach behind the anchor.

All the pics I did see didn’t really look all that bad. People were just walking and keeping some distance between them, so I think a lot of it overblown.

In Clay, they are threatening to close a park again because people were fishing and sitting at the picnic tables

Either open the park or close the damn thing, but don’t make stupid rules

I fully admit that I haven't been fishing in many years, but is it common nowadays to stand close to strangers when you're doing it?

I don't know if you drive by that park often, but they need to crack down on the dude who leads the exercise/yoga classes on the helicopter landing pad.

It’s amazing. I fish so that I don’t have to be around people I figure that most of the people at picnic tables are family and have been together anyways.

A guy standing alone and fishing, is the epitome of social distancing . I’ve never fished there, so I don’t even know if it’s worth it or folks just tired of being cooped up

Same I go fly fishing all the time but lately it has been horrible in some places. The weekend before last they were hundreds of people on a small stream.

New addition by the Bama tracker site

Interesting to see CT that low given that they were once a massive hotbed. Ohio was the opposite.

We went to Jackson Lake Island last weekend to fish and there were a lot of people there, but every family kept to themselves. The weather was perfect and it was nice to take the kids fishing.

It's the place in Millbrook where they filmed the Spectre town scenes in the movie "Big Fish."

A game warden even passed us on the levee inside the campgrounds. He waved.

I don't know if it is the case everywhere, but around here right now you've REALLY got to frick up to get LE to take action on minor stuff.

We got called to assist PD last week. Get there and there's an old (70s) guy sitting on a bench outside the coffee shop. Long story short, he wanted coffee to go with the 2 lortabs he'd taken earlier for back pain - which is probably why he'd been driving on the wrong side of the road and stumbled to the order window at the shop.

Nothing's medically wrong with him, he's just high. Guy says he's getting his coffee and driving home. Officer starts telling him he can't let him do that but he'll be happy to call someone for him. Old guy starts cussing and gets louder and louder. After about 5 minutes, my medic partner's had enough, looks at the guy and says "How about you shut the fvck up for a minute. This dude's doing everything he can to NOT haul your high arse to jail and you seem determined to fvck up his plan. You WANT to go to county and catch the fvckking covid or something?" Officer starts laughing so hard he turns around and walks off. Old guy says "I'm sorry" and gives the medic his daughter's phone number. Last month that guy's in cuffs and on his way to county for public intox the first time he cussed the officer if not sooner.

Heard Lt. Governor Ainsworth on the radio this morning. That guy has been all over the damn place in the last few weeks. A few weeks ago, he was declaring we would all die if we didn't lock everything down. Then on Friday, he had some awkward press conference that said that his task force recommended that small businesses open immediately. He said that the governor asked him to give her a recommendation on how to reopen the state but he didn't answer why he decided to have a press conference about it before telling her (or her team) what their "findings" were.

Of course he will probably be our next governor...

Not with my vote. The way he went 'the sky is falling' two weeks ago was enough to tell me I didn't want him. Now he's leading the 'get everything open' charge.

Yeah, that's a guy just looking to use this situation to get a promotion.

I know a few business owners who were suddenly encouraged because everything Ainsworth said on Friday sounded official. As you said, pretty clear that it was a total self-promotion stunt.

He’ll be out next Governor because voters in this state are lazy and will promote him because he’s the Republican Lt. Governor.

He will have significant primary opposition. For starters, Bradley Byrne is now unemployed. There's no guarantee he'll be able to win it - particularly when the campaign ads of his flopping like a bass in the bottom of the boat come out.

I wouldn’t mind it one bit (he should be our next Senator instead of Tuberville) but the next time Byrne wins a statewide race it will be his first.

I know but he'll have the name recognition. Despite what he's done lately, Ainsworth isn't particularly well know across the state.

I also just threw him out there as an example. I'm all but positive Ivey won't run again. Her age and health just won't hold up. If that's the case, the (R) field will be huge.

Well played. So glad cooler heads and common sense prevailed.
Thanks for what you do.
