I see my thread has gone off the rails the last couple of days.

How about a numbers update to get us back on track:

In Alabama:

2,721 cases, with 222 new ones today.
48 confirmed deaths, 72 reported deaths.

Nationwide:

458,445 cases, 23,518 new cases today.
16,312 deaths.

I will also add that Alabama's death total projection from the IHME has dropped again, from 923 a couple of days ago down to 634.

I've always said I'm an a-hole. I'm also right. Those are not mutually exclusive concepts.

I don’t need any advice from you.

This is my friend. He died protecting this country that you continue to insult.

Dude, you are innapropriately playing an emotional card.

I respect that dude maximally. And he died supposedly defending and protecting my freedoms, including my freedom to say, "frick the US. Its federal gov't is currently an evil travesty." Questioning one's gov't is the highest of civil responsibilities.

His sacrifice and the morality of the US federal gov't are completely different and unrelated things, and you trying to marry them together for argumentative purposes is horseshite of the highest order and an insult to the memory of your friend.

Your friend fought for his fellow soldiers and friends next to him, not the war profiteering of the VP. Understand the difference.

I'm not specifically saying that to just you, but to everyone.

He fought for this country. The good and the bad. No country is perfect, but it’s personal for many of us when people continue to bash it.

You don’t see things from my point of view and I sure as hell don’t see it from yours, so I suggest we just stop fricking this thread up.

Didn't you state recently you weren't coming back into this thread, or was that someone else?

It was me, but I said I wouldn't get into the political stuff. I did so only after being called out by Cobra. I quit immediately when asked.

My initial participation today was related to the medical debunking of bad coronavirus advice. It was on topic.

He'll keep coming back if he's not banned. He should be banned from the entire BAMA Board.

While I don't like hearing of anyone catching this mess I especially don't like hearing about these nursing homes.

I apologize to everyone for screwing the thread up. That kind of stuff is just really personal to me. I’ll try to shut up from now on. I’m truly sorry.
