You guys need to take 24 hours off. It's going to be slow. Most likely Sunday before Cam makes a decision. Texas or Bama.

Haywood UM and Shull from AU are ranked higher on ON3 but question do you go after a kid from a P5 program that is in the portal and lost a star/went down in ranking or do you go after a kid from a g6 team that coming out of HS had no stars and now is a 3 or 4 star. Not to mention the g6 kid has something to prove and will demand the money a P4 player might

Haywood UM

I guess On3 ranks him so high based on potential? I'm looking at the 247 rankings and I'd prefer Heard or Thompson due to the amount of experience they have as starters in the SEC. Haywood has played in all of 3 college games. I assume Heard or Thompson are more likely to be plug and play as opposed to a guy like Haywood, but I haven't actually watched tape on Heard or Thompson.

Shull from AU

Doesn't look like he saw any action in 2025.

That's the guy I really want.

Apparently, he is waiting on the NCAA to see if he has eligibility left coming from DIII. One fast white boy.

I don’t really care about WR transfers when we only have 1 starter returning on the OL and barely a starter group’s worth of scholarship players across the OL. Our DL recruiting at least has one big time guy but we arguably need another DT type at a minimum. OL has been a disaster and we were bad this year.

We need to close out the last of portal window pretty hard.

Just a reminder (to everyone) that the portral closing on 1/16 just means a player has to be in the portal by that date if they want to transfer before next season. However, they don't have to be signed by that date. So evaluations, visits, signings, etc. will continue beyond 1/16.

We are halfway through the portal window. Many players still will enter waiting to see what other players do and agents talking with teams before a player enters. Also teams still trying to iron out deal to stay.

It’s like mlb teams collecting short stops

The difference is MLB shortstops all have the arm to play any other infield position and typically the athletic ability/speed to convert to an outfielder.

TE's cannot normally convert to any other position. Or maybe we are gonna just try to add weight to several of them and move to OL.

Just because someone is in the portal doesn't mean he is leaving. It just means he has a higher probability of leaving. lol

Are we really putting tight ends on the oline next year?

We're apparently putting TEs at EVERY position next year.

The best part is, we don't even have a TE coach!
