Not sure. That place has been an absolute revolving door for years now. Hope something good takes it over though.
Air Show this weekend with the Blue Angels. Should be a good time. I think I may try to take my boy out there on Sunday afternoon.

Are they opening back up or is someone else moving in?
They're opening back up. I hope their tacos are better than last time.

Egans got sold to the owner of Avenue Pub and Central Mesa. They will shut down for a little while during the transfer of ownership. It will keep the name and awesomeness, but I expect a little more money to be put into it now.

The opened back up Monday I think. Saw people sitting outside eating yesterday.

Looks like Half Shell Oyster will take the place of GLory Bound. Glory Bound will move to a new location.
Haven't heard any news on the new hotel pitched for downtown.

Roots Fest is this Saturday from 4pm to 10pm at Government Plaza downtown. Free concert with Adam Hood, Will Hoge, and Robert Randolph all performing. Should be a fun afternoon/evening downtown.

They are moving to where Steamers on the Strip is now. Should happen by the end of May.

Is Steamers moving? Wonder if they'll revamp the building too.

How'd you get that info?

Fellas, I've just accepted a job in Bham and will be moving up there very shortly. I'll still contribute to the thread as much as possible, but won't be able to see development going on or have the heads up on the upcoming shows. I'll obviously be back to visit some to see some shows and games, but my time in Tuscaloosa is almost up.
It's been a great time here. Loved it here as a student and T-Town always has a place in my heart.

Lot of development to catch up on.
Start with the latest, Mellow Mushroom is (thankfully) returning to Tuscaloosa and will replace the old building that Post Office Pies is next too.
Egans Bar will also reopen under new management in August.
Tuscaloosa is also granting a 90-day extension to hotel developer that wants to put a hotel near the amphitheater.
New high-tech bowling alley is coming on McFarland to replace the old site was once Bruno's.
City approved for this hotel to be built on Lurleen B. Wallace Boulevard South between Sixth and Seventh streets.
Lot of great development going on.
