I tried that new Texas Roadhouse in front of the Lofts at City Center. Great place to eat; great atmosphere. Be prepared to wait 30 minutes though. Being walking distance from the apartment complex and being right off our most congested highway, it's busy as frick.

Chuy's is about to open though

Tuscaloosa is having a craft beer week. Greene Beverage Company will host it and give everyone samples of Druid City Brewing Co., Black Warrior Brewing Co, and Band of Bros Brew Co..

They're all pitching in to create a new pale ale called "Rising Tide" during October 25th-31st.

Also, since this is the "official things in T-Town" thread, the turnout for the band Alabama at the amp was great.

Never heard of that place, but I'm a burger addict. My wife calls me Wimpy and Hamburgular. I'm going to F that place all the way up. They don't even know man, they don't even know!

Chuy's is nothing special. I don't really get the hype. They do make good margaritas, but that's about it.

To each their own though.

Haven't tried it yet. I'm more so excited about their happy hour honestly.

Where is the Tuscaloosa one?

I've been to the one in Bham a few times, and just never understood the hype, other than their margaritas.

Pieology Pizza

One of these just opened in Bham. The pizza isn't anything special, but the concept is nice. One price for all the toppings you want, they make it front you like Chipotle, then throw it in the oven. Price is fair as well. Pizza and a Coke was around $10. Service was quick as well.

I love their verde chile dip/sauce, and their relenos are amazing.

Their burritos are humongous and usually feed me for about 3 meals. Reasonably priced also.

Mexican food in Tuscaloosa sucks. Even "nothing special" is better than 95% of the Mexican food restaurants here.

Yeah I guess I'm spoiled in Bham. We have several good options for Tex-Mex, and even a few real Mexican places.

I did like that Mexican place in the shopping center across from the mall, and Pepito's in Northport used to be really good, but I've haven't been there in several years.

I'm a Los Tarrascos guy. It's cheap as hell, delicious, and they have solid beer specials all the time.
