Official Spring Practice Thread
As much as I love this time of year I cant wait until the rest of the freshmen get to practice. Cant wait to see Reuben out there.

nterested in Reuben's ability to pick up scheme, that will be his biggest hurdle and aban loves guys who don't make mistakes, if he doesn't pick up scheme quick, he'll be uphill this year...........i'm stoked for Tyren Jones and Jon allen to get on Campus, I just have a feeling those two are gonna be too good to sit all year.

I think we have a lot of guys who will play just like we did last year. Mostly in mop up duty to get experience and on special teams. Oh yea the other Foster too. Also want to see where they start Ardarius out at. Im thinking safety but we will see.(Before someone comes in and says slot WR)

Something tells me Kamara will play WR. Just saw the GA Junior bowl and he nearly had 200 yards receiving.

Drake looks like he has added some muscle. Good.

No homo, but Fowler looks so cut for his size. He is going to be a force.

Also, I notice that Henry is the only RB not wearing gloves. Personal preference I guess?

– Starting linebacker from 2012 Xzavier Dickson worked out with the defensive linemen on Wednesday. It was not uncommon for Dickson to put a hand on the ground in certain defensive alignments throughout the course of last season, but he generally practiced with the linebackers.

– Linebacker Denzell Devall was working alongside Adrian Hubbard in Dickson’s place.

– As for the interior linebackers, Tana Patrick was working ahead of Reggie Ragland in individual drills. The job is still very much up for grabs, but as it stands right now, Patrick is on top.

– The left guard battle seems to be heating up, as both Chad Lindsay and Arie Kouandjio were working with the first team. The other four starters, Cyrus Kouandjio at left tackle, Ryan Kelly at center, Anthony Steen at right guard and Austin Shepherd at right tackle were in tact as they were before.

– Finally, Alabama lost both players listed as long snappers on last year’s depth chart, Carson Tinker and Kelly Johnson, to exhausted eligibilities. Alabama had two walk-ons at the position in practice, likely waiting it out for the arrival of incoming freshman Cole Mazza

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team put on full pads for the first time this spring as the Crimson Tide practiced for two hours Wednesday on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.

"After watching everyone in shorts and helmets they look a little quicker, a little faster," Alabama head coach Nick Saban said. "Getting the pads on is something that the players have to get used to. I thought the effort was good and their attention to detail has been good. We are really trying to emphasize how important it is for the individuals on the team to do the rights things to make the team what it is."

quote:

"Coach Moore is somebody that I have a tremendous amount of respect for. First, for giving us the opportunity to come to the University of Alabama and the great job he did on selling us on this University and what could be done here. Then, all of the support he has given to our program. He certainly deserves a tremendous amount of credit for the success we have had because of the way he sets the table and serves us so well.

"Most things that you would see, he has had some hand in making all of the athletic facilities what they are, first class in so many ways. More than that, he is a class gentleman, probably as fine as you are ever going to meet. He has been a great friend and his support has certainly been appreciated ... He has been a part of a lot of championships and a lot of championship teams in this department as a coach was well as an athletic director."

The Crimson Tide will practice again on Friday before taking a week off for spring break (March 25-29). Alabama will then resume spring practice with the fifth of 15 spring practices on Monday, April 1.

Alabama's 2013 A-Day Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 20, at 2 p.m. (CDT) inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. The A-Day Game is once again free to the public and will be televised live on ESPN2.

They were attached around his belt. I know a lot of RBs will do drills without gloves and then put them on during live situations for the better grip.

Everyone's measurements or just DH's? I'm interested in CyKo's, Mosley's, Yeldon's, Belue's, and DePriest's.
