Bama still has 79 players on scholarship.. realistically we are down 6 players.

Couldn't agree more.
We've done well statistically these past few years so it's hard to complain too much, but I don't understand why we recruited undersized WRs and TEs when they were typically asked to block so much in our system.
Don't know if it's related, but at some point we also seemed to completely abandon route trees across the middle. How many times could we have used a simple three-to-five yard slant?

It could be as low as 79 depending on if specialist are on scholly.

We were focusing on speed and versatility, Waddle and Deebo Samuel types.

Well Michigan will be on the clock soon.

Sure, but IMO we could've recruited more of a mix of those types and some big-bodied guys as well.
Easier said than done, I guess.

I feel like that after seeing what happened with us they almost have to elevate Sherrone. I am mostly interested to see if Ohio State continues to fire money and try to move some Michigan kids. That would be crazy. My assumption though is that Michigan is spending this time making sure all the Financials are in order with the current team when the 30 day portal opens.

So if Michigan promotes Sherrone to HC, does that still trigger the portal window for them?

I don't think it will happen to them a bad. I think the teams (osu) who could have already blown their budget. I think you can probably grab some players from them after spring, as some of their current players will not be happy with the additions.

Is Harbaugh leaving or something? I haven't heard anything about it.

The assumption is he is leaving. He is on his second interviews with the Chargers and the Falcons. If he wants an NFL job, and it looks like he does, he is going to get one.

He has a second interview with the Chargers.

I feel like Michigan was very Jr/Sr heavy team, so they may not have a ton of pickings for us. I'd have to look at their roster...the interest would definitely be in DBs.

Yes, but an internal hire probably limits the damage quite a bit unless Harbaugh takes a lot of his staff with him. It wouldn't trigger a domino effect either. Aside from the epic meltdown it would spark on the Tiger Rant, I want to see them hire Kelly just for the devastating ripple effect it would have across 3-4 major programs. If all this shite with the 30 day window causes enough chaos maybe it'll prompt the dipshits running the NCAA to look into how fricking insane it is.

Any updates on Jabbar Muhammad?
If we miss on him then we have to wait until March to get more DB's on the squad.

He is still scheduled to visit Oregon this weekend before making a final decision. Not the best that he is still going but he has said he has always planned to explore his options. Bama is in it but definitely an uphill battle/fight with Texas and Oregon.
