I know Mandell turned down his Tulane offer to walk on at Bama. Maybe tOSU pulled his offer?

Wondering if anyone tracks the long-term results of some of these choices, meaning: for many of those who chose another school over Alabama, did they do it because of fears of having to wait to play and, on average, does the increased play time they get/think they'll get at the other school translate to higher draft status and greater earnings?
My supposition is no, it doesn't and that even if they only start 2 years in CNS's system, they end up being a higher draft pick and a higher-paid pro . Delayed gratification equals greater gratification, in other words.
