I'd be a little worried About the team, because I just don't see how that horrible QB I saw play last year could possibly be the best option we have

You realize that when you say that, you're saying that you think your judgement based on watching 0 practice snaps this year and games on TV last year is better than that of the guy with 5 national titles on his resume, right?

I don't think you understood what I said. If Cooper wins, I'd be worried because he was terrible last season, and if we don't have anything better than that, that's bad news.

Cooper winning the job doesn't mean Saban made a bad choice, I'm 100% sure Saban will make the right choice.

And if the right choice is Cooper, and he gives us the best shot to win, we're in trouble

Watching games is how 98% of us speculate. In the end, we all have to trust in what Coach decides, but I think it's ok for people to be worried about Bateman. I'm sure he has improved but I'm hoping Barnett or Hurts has improved more.

Its funny though, after being here for 9 seasons going on 10, 4 national championships, 4 SEC championships, 2 Heismans and so on and people are still questioning Nick Saban.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, Saban could call me up and say "you're the starting QB, go win us a championship" and you bet you're arse I'd be out there believing we'd a championship.

Your comment is definitely hilarious, because no one is questioning the coaching staff.

Has CNS named a starter? Nope

Once he does, will we support his choice? Yep

In the mean time it's fun to talk about our favorite.

So take it easy, it's a message board, it's what we do.

I'm not going to agree with Anyone 100% of the time. If Coach chooses Bateman, then we have to trust it's the right choice. If Bateman plays like he did last year and he is our best choice, then we might be in trouble. I just hope he has improved. I was honestly hoping Barnett's decision making had gotten better.

IMO, the guy that will call an onsides kick with the national title game tied in the 4th quarter has shown he's got the guts to do just about anything.

I've wanted to start a thread on this here topic for the longest time. Saban gets "hip/cool" for a few weeks when he gets crazy with the calls nowadays. "Oh look at Saban thinking out of the box. That's something Les would do!"

Does nobody remember the insane fake punt against Texas? All the shite against LSU before Alabama had established this awesome streak against them? Saban does some CRAZY shite, and always has. His conservative mindset is pure media driven. Dude goes HAM when he has to.

I don't know how I can make it any more clear to you guys that I am not questioning Coach Sabans decisions at all. He's the best of all time, if I could afford it, I would put a statue of Nick Saban in my front yard.

Nick Saban is watching the quarterbacks, and he will make the best decision for the team. All I am saying is after watching Cooper Bateman play last season, if he truly is the best option for the team, that's not making me very confident for this year's team and any possible success I hope they have. If Bateman is the best then he's the best, and saban will pick him. I just hope to god he's not the best, and after what I saw last season, I'd be pretty surprised if he was the best

It is funny because people in this very thread were questioning if Saban would start Hurts if he was the best choice, the best player who gave us the best chance to win. I don't need to calm down. I'm actually very calm and waiting to see how this all plays out. I'm excited to see what they can do.

It's not about guts, he will play who he thinks gives us the best chance.

I agree. I wouldn't say I agree with Saban 100% of the time either, apologies if my comment came off that way. I just think we need to trust Saban is going to put the players out there who give us the best shot to win.

I too, hope Bateman has improved. It does sound like he may be outmatched though. But none of us can say for sure because we haven't seen practice. Guess we will find out Sept 3

If all 3 guys are, basically, equal going in to the first game. Will Saban play all 3 in the first game, to see how they look?

You're fine my man.

Think we're all tired of the debate and ready for the season to start. The infighting before last offseason combined with this season's has us all on edge.

Can't wait to go through the season with y'all.

Hard to say. I wouldn't be surprised if he did, wouldn't be surprised if he didn't. If the season started today, I'd say he starts Bateman and gives Barnett a chance to blow him away in a game. Its tough playing 3 QBs in one game though

Playing them would be the fair way to decide, if they are all equal going in to the season. That scenario makes me sick to my stomach

I think we are all saying the same thing, . Whoever it is, the coaches know what they are doing for sure.
If it's really close among the three, I would prefer giving Hurts a shot.

It does sound as though we are all saying the same thing. In the end we just want to win! Deep down I'm hoping Hurts blows everyone away Saturday and earns the job

I actually would rather see Bateman take command of the offense, fix his deep ball and increase his pocket awareness. Then we could see Hurts take a redshirt and run the scout team all year. Either way you guys will see Tua as the hotshot freshman next year. Last year Barnett was the saviour.
