I talked it over with some IRL bama fan friends today, I'm all aboard the Sark/Stoutland or Silverfield/Long train baby

Stoutland is a great OLine coach. It's not fair to judge his recruiting since he really couldn't at that time

I kind of want Silverfield, just because I'm not fully on board with a huge reunion from the entire offensive staff (I want people in the room who will push Saban and not give in to his more conservative offensive tendencies), but if Stoutland can recruit his own position well, I will be happy

With this group of toys, Stoutland would have everything he needs to build a fantastic O-line. The O-line he builds would be good to go for 3 years. Even if he is not top end as a recruiter, His work on the field should help us add a couple of high end recruits each year and that would keep it rolling.

Oh don't my get me wrong, Silverfield would be a great hire and I'd be happy as hell to have him. He'd more than likely be a longer term hire too

Read a tweet that Todd Bates is in town to interview for the DL job.

Also heard there should be some decisions made today regarding the staff.

Can Owens hold off Ekiyor at C? Will Lashley win the starting LT job or does Neal grab it?

Then we have Leatherwood, Wills, and Brown returning as JR's

OL stacked, SEC fricked.

Just said the same thing today. Bates would be a great hire. Blank check to come back home.

Said this a few days ago. Got met with:

He was demoted at Clemson and is about to lose the entire DL he didn't recruit. Naaaaah.

I think he would be a great hire.

It all may be a bunch of bullshite, but it sounds like Saban is trying to bring back a lot of our old staff:

- Steve Sarkisian
- Kevin Steele
- Bo Davis
- Lance Thompson
- Jeff Stoutland
- Lance Taylor

Are we getting the band back together?

Kevin Steele has been really solid at Auburn. He struggled this past year some but he didn’t have the horses in the back end. He was not very good at LSU but has been great at AU. I trust Saban. It sounds like he’s going back to the people he trust and trust not to bail on him after one year. Maybe this is his last hurdle. He’s gearing up to make one more run. We’ve got all the pieces in place we just need some stability. We should be a better overall team next year than we were this year.
