When the broadcaster (chip caray) says "we are one strike away from a miracle," regarding will smith possibly successfully closing a high leverage game out... WTF.
What is the obsession snit has with will smith ? If the padres batters would have simply stood there smith was prepared to walk six batters easily.
He has two weak pitches. A slow rolling 82 mph slurve that I faced a thousand times in high school, (high school !) or a 93 mph fastball that has zero movement on it. This dude literally has high school level stuff.
Then all these paid talking heads: "how exciting" "ive got a thousand gray hairs watching that" "what grit" blah, blah, blah,... how about WTF is going on between snits ears ? How about somebody ask that ?
Why is this team being held hostage by this dumbass coach and his closer project ? You can see the dismay on all the players faces after every one of these shitshows in the ninth inning. SMH

I genuinely do not understand the Will Smith thing other than Snit is a stubborn old mule who wrote closer next to Will Smith's name in April and damn it that ain't changing.

I'd love to know if it's a Snit thing, an FO thing (have to justify his salary), or a combination of the two. Of course, no reporter who covers the Braves has the sack to demand that Snit explain his reasoning behind continuing to let this fricking bum blow games.

I think the last year an explanation like that may fly was what ? 1998 ? This is 20fricken21 with analytics out the arse, and all the numbers on smith paint a very clear picture. I know the numbers are on snits desk every morning assuming he can read- stupid bastard.

If this were happening in NY or LA this shite wouldn't fly. I have no idea how the Braves keep such a lock down of the narrative surrounding the team. If you pay attention you can tell Chip and Glavine cant believe what they are seeing, but Frenchy has to bite his tongue because he hates will smith.

Joe Simpson was pretty blunt on the radio today after the 3rd walk (which isn't new).
Hell, even DOB wrote an article after the Friday night blown save against San Francisco flat out, no punches pulled that Smith cannot be the closer anymore.
Snit ain't having it.

2 run lead going to the 9th with Harper leading off. Worst he can do is make it a 1 run game but hopefully we can add some here in the bottom of the 8th. Cause Lord knows Will Smith will frick this up somehow
