Then why has none of that talent taken the spot of 85 and 79. Hell 74 was so bad 79 had to take over. They have on job and that was to raise up and block the one guy right in front of him!

DUH!! the same guy coaching the crapfest we watch every saturday, is coaching the talent behind the starters, sheesh...

99 totally owned our RT's yesterday and that was just one on one all day long. Neither Bama OT had the athletic ability to keep from getting beat from the snap. (play after play)

Beat from the snap but take the coaching route.

Denial. It works well.

Nick will have to get two tackles from the portal and a new OL coach as well.

We've given up on Brockermeyer already?

Marrone has been the lead recruiter for ZERO of our commits, including the 3 OL commits. ZERO.

So not only is his coaching garbage but his recruiting is as well. Which begs the question what does he actually do?

You're going to need more than one guy Hoss. If Knight or Brown were good then 79 and 74 wouldn't be playing right now. But lets stick with the coaching.

Bryce really has his work cutout for him this week. If AU did what they did to our right side then UGA will double down.

Mercenaries with O'Brien and Marrone will suck the blood out of this program.

News flash: Most professionals, especially coaches, are mercenaries motivated by their own self-interests.

People are only as loyal as their options. The same goes for employers. If firing BOB and Golding this offseason and getting new coordinators would make the difference in winning the NC in 2022, the fans would vote to can their asses in heartbeat.

And prior to coming to Alabama, the last time Marrone recruited a high school kid was ten years earlier. At Syracuse, for one four year stretch.

In the last 20 years, Marrone had spent one 4 year stretch in the middle of it recruiting HS kids. At Syracuse. There should be no expectation that he should be any good at it.

Normally, I say that almost anyone should be able to be a good recruiter at Alabama. So my thinking is that you can give a guy a pass for being an average recruiter if he brings something else to the table in terms of being outstanding as a position coach or a coordinator and because we have other guys who are excellent recruiters. Marrone clearly isn't a good recruiter, probably doesn't have much of a passion for it, and has not done well at his position.

Whats stands out is we talk about guys playing multiple spots so we can have versatility .
But considering that next yr we most-likely see Cohen move out to left tackle?
If that's the case then why have we not considered at this point of need just moving Cohen to RT.
Yes I will admit its maybe to late(SECG) for Cohen to settle in at right tackle. But truthfully how can Cohen play worst than everything else that's been tried there. Is he not more quicker, athletic, than George/Owens and now seasoned.
Also if Cohen does move to LT next yr and I am not saying its in stone. But who are next yrs starting tackles? SO if it is Cohen at LT?

Then how in the world can a kid play LT next yr, but is not be able to play some right tackle this yr.
I mean has anybody else developed enough after 12 games to play maybe some guard duty.

So why wont we consider multiple people at LG and then move Cohen out there to RT.
Nobody we have tried at RT is quick enough out there stand to be trusted.
The kid laythem is quick, has length and a base good enough to play guard. Also its were he seen most of his action. Its why I say laythem or Cohen would be the my move with both being able to play guard. So whom ever having success stays at RT and the other plays guard next to Neal.
