We are what we are in 2025 and the people who wrongly think we have the best talent in the conference don’t want to hear it, but we probably overachieved to an extent in the winning streak.
If no steps are taken to improve the running game for 2026 … and again, this offense is never going to resemble ours from 2009, that ship has irrevocably sailed … that’s when I am going to start questioning whether we have the right staff.

A few (Formby for example) deserve a lot of the criticism. At the same time however he might be fine in a different scheme.
Good lord people, get a grip
We might have 20% who have any clue at all. I know I’m being optimistic here, the pick six yesterday is a litmus test honestly for the lack of knowledge and we’re seeing a LOT of failures there.
We need to be more physical in the trenches. Oklahoma was clearly so yesterday. That’s not a new development, we’ve been getting less physical for years. Part of it is now the way the transfer portal works. Getting players to sit for 2 years while they develop is getting more difficult. If you miss on a player or 2, it’s a significant setback. Teams are still trying to figure out how the dynamics are going to work there.

Most of that was while we were trailing. We did nothing after we got the lead. BV adjusted and grubb didn't.

Run game isn’t good but we would’ve had a better chance to win yesterday had we handed it off 50 times.

the stats show we get worse in the second half...its why games are close.
Alabama scoring in the 2nd half this season
FSU 10 points
ULM 31 points
Wisconsin 17 points
Georgia 0 points
Vandy 16 points
Missouri 10 points
Tennessee 14 points
South Carolina 15 points
LSU 3 points
Oklahoma 7 points
averaging 8 points in the 2nd half of conference games - that's going to catch up to us and it did

We should have close to 600 yards. We had like 100 yards in the second half. Our fall offs have to stop in these second halves every week

Offense peaked in the first half of the Georgia game.

phil gets it. yes we need a running game but turnover cost us dearly yesterday, all at the worst times.

We aren’t good in the second half because good coaches adjust. We do not adjust. We regress and turtle in second halves. It is what it is.

I think you mean offensively we don’t adjust and I don’t know how anyone can argue with that.

Yes offensively. We have a really good defensive unit that usually tightens down even more

In case Ystar doesn’t know the rules of the game, they don’t award you a single point for yardage or moving the ball between the twenties. The offense rolled up 400+ yards but didn’t finish drives, turned it over that led to 17 points the other way, and scored a measly 21 points. So their offense only had to score 6 points unassisted to win. They did. Yes, the offense got beat. 21 minus 17 points off turnovers = 4 points. Oklahoma scored 6. 6 is greater than 4.
The only complaint you could possibly have against the defense was one of OU’s TDs off a turnover could have maybe been held to 3. But that’s asking a lot of your defense that did a helluva job yesterday.

Yeah because our QB killed two scoring opportunities and our kicker killed another.
Which is what I have been saying and what you guys are going to hear everyone say all week

Can’t shorten a game by design and have one RZ possession end in a pick six and another end in a missed FGA. We’re our own worst enemy when long possessions end due to turnovers and missed kicks.

We kinda were. Milroe struggled big time down the stretch passing wise. Post UGA and excluding Mercer he threw 4 TDs vs 10 INTs.
Just like last season, we’re left with a team with stark deficits that make it easier for defenses to counter
