So any NFL team with three loses shouldn’t be in the playoffs? Because basically that’s what college has copied now.

I’ll argue any team can have three loses and can catch fire and win the championship. Plenty of nfl teams had three or more loses and won the Super Bowl

I’m fine with Bama being out it’s not the end of the world, but they’re easily better than Indiana or SMU or Clemson also. All three of these teams would probably be 7-5 with Bama schedule this yr.

Should an nfl team that has lost 6 reg season games have a chance to win the super bowl? Hell no, regular season games need to mean something. And clearly they do in some cases and don't in others.

College football is in no way like the nfl. There are only 32 teams in the nfl. They at least attempt parity, with the draft, caps, contracts, scheduling etc. Cf has none of that. Just because there is a playoff doesn't mean it's the nfl.

They keep trying to make it like the NFL but it never will be. It’s just becoming a cheaper version of it with worse/less developed talent

For example, 10 years ago Indiana having the season they had would’ve finished 12-1 or 11-2 after a NY6 bowl and it would’ve been a magical season. Now they’ll be remembered as frauds

You know why I’m not? Because the point is to put the 12 best teams in the CFP. If Bama is ranked 11th, the committee thinks they’re one of the 12 best. Putting ALL the other BS aside, the automatic bids are the dumbest part of the whole thing.

We lost games we shouldn't have. OU is a 1 horse team

Is losing to a one horse team that lost 5 games ok?

Yes… the 12 best teams should be playing, but that’s not their agenda. These ppl on the committee and the media do not think like normal everyday people. They’re fricked up like a soup sandwich

Hope the B10 loses all their first round games and Sankey goes scorched earth except PSU I guess

SMU getting their teeth kicked in wouldn’t hurt my feelings

Jennings with a miss/bad throw to deny SMU a TD.

Jennings with a miss/bad throw to give PSU a TD.

14 point swing.

We have a playoff game right now between two teams that had 0 top 25 wins between them...and neither was a conference champion.

That is simply pathetic.

Sankey is like the NCAA president, a spineless piece of human debris. But the SEC office is in Birmingham…

I want SMU to lose. Nothing against them personally Bama was directly compared against them. Should’ve never been in with 2 losses and zero ranked wins

I'm going for a Penn State blow out win OR a SMU blow out win.

NO MERCY.

...because Alabama didn't get in? Although they lost against Vandy and Oklahoma?

Has nothing to do with the playoffs. I’m referring to the general policies both of them have taken on varying issues.

I don’t mind that we didn’t get in, but for one of us, OM, and USCe to not get in while the B10 coasted to four easy entrants (with two home games) while the SEC only got 3 is horseshite. The SEC has been exponentially better than all the other P4 conferences for almost two decades and got no credit for it.

Same argument for us only getting one more team than the ACC. Sankey better throw his nuts on the table this offseason.
