Jerry Palm of CBS Sports has Bama in as 11 seed vs PSU and SMU out now.

It will be glorious if we get in. The freakout will be legendary.

They’re protected by the B1G.

Because these conferences are so unbalanced it hurts

Which is why this whole system is a bit of a farce. If SMU played Florida's schedule they'd probably have had similar results and be nowhere near actually being in this thing. But they got a cake walk schedule in a cake walk conference and still managed to drop 2. Now they might get in over a number of better teams.

I mean we have better wins obviously and since when does almost winning a game count!!

With that being said wins and losses are important and two of our losses were bad

It’s all about wins and losses not the difficulty of your schedule.

We lost to two teams that had losing conference records. Not one, but two.
We have no one to outside of the Alabama program to blame. It was given to us , provided we win a game against a pathetic Oklahoma team and we couldn't handle it. Not even close.

Our schedule is significantly harder than SMUs, Texas’, and Indiana’s. This isn’t the NFL where the talent gap isn’t that big. The talent gap is massive in college football.

I could name quite a few teams SMU played, and beat, that are better than Oklahoma.

What about Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri, LSU, or South Carolina?

Considering I have common sense and I actually support my team. I will lol.

Seriously though. There are 10 spots. SMU is ranked 8th. People really think they won't drop more than 2 spots after losing to the #17 ranked team who just lost to the #14 ranked team?

It's very easy conclusion and these people are going to melt about it.

The reality is if we played SMU schedule and just lost to Clemson every single one of them including the LSU alter on this board would cry bloody murder if they dared to put us in.

Yet you can't name one team SMU beat that is better than South Carolina.

You can't name a team SMU beat that is better than Georgia.

You can't even label a team SMU beat that is better than Mizz

Heck SMU didn't beat a team better than LSU

That is why they will be left out. That is what you guys will ignore when you cry about Alabama being put in tomorrow

I’m just not seeing how getting an easy conference draw should be rewarded if you can’t beat the top of it

B1G protection.

The same way we're about to get SEF protection lol. Nah, honestly we played one of the hardest schedules and proved on our day we can be one of the best.

SMU proved that they shouldn't be ranked higher than BYU because BYU beat SMU in their own house and they have the same amount of losses

The betting odds went from -1000 SMU +500 BAMA to -360 SMU +260 Bama.
