Would be cool if Jalen some how decided to consider a redshirt year in 2018. He could spend time (splitting time) working on both a possible position change as well as work on learning reads and working the pocket as a QB. Then in 2019 he could make a more informed decision on moving in a role as either a QB or going with another position. If he goes with QB he could start his RS Senior year as QB if (and prob when) Tua goes pro his Jr year.

Edit:...cont....
Coming off the bench as the closer would be a waste. He already knows how to manage the team this way. Would be more beneficial to another young QB to get comfortability time. The things Jalen needs to work on can only be duplicated in practice and game on the line time. And of course if Tua got injured he could burn it.

If he really wants to play in the League, he needs to hone his skills at another position

From a selfish standpoint we need #2 to stay and get better all around. He will never be a polished passer for that is a mental/confidence factor he will not overcome. We need him as a solid backup. Again that is from a selfish view and not from what #2 might want. Look what happened to FSU once their ONLY QB went down.
