What the frick is it with Arizona State? First our kicker, now Napier. It's time to process the Sun Devils.

it is a promotion. NS had the opportunity to promote him and not Sark. That is the chances you take.

Best wishes to him. He can get his initial OC experience at ASU.

I doubt we lose a recruit over it.

WR coach might impact two WR recruits, Smith and Ruggs........could this be why FSU was gaining on Ruggs lately?

This, exactly. Could explain the late push form other schools on Smith and Ruggs. The inner coaching circles may have found out about this before the media.

NS has probably known a while since they have yet to let it be known what position Locksley will be coaching

Probably so but unless this happened last summer why were there two not already locked in to UA and committed. Napier has not been able to close the door on either.

On the field I am not concerned to be honest. I like Napier but our WR production has been lacking and before anyone jumps on me and tells me how bad Hurts was throwing you can go back the last 3 QBs who none were great but how many times did we see WRs drop a easy catch? With all the talent we have brought in our passing still lacks due as well to dropped balls and poor route running.

If that is the case it's probably more to do with the fact that, like most receivers, he'd like a decent passing game downfield rather than so many being shovel passes or screens in the backfield.

My guess, though, is that he'll sign with the good guys on Wednesday.

I may be the only one, but I thought route-running and WR development dropped off after Groh left. Wish we could get him back.
