How is this bad? Consistently back breaking penalities. I know we have issues all over the field. But you can't win close games with this many.

I assume it's coaching but it was like this last year

Part of the issue is the lack of discipline over a number of years because Saban couldn't get great coaches to come in.

When we hired DeBoer. I was skeptical about some of the coaches he hired. Still am.

They've had double-digit penalties so many times stretching back to 2021. I forget the exact stat, I went through and did it at some point last year. It comes out to almost every single road game.

Can't win when the refs don't throw flags for offsides, DPIs, offensive (choke) holds, etc. either...

I’m sorry but Saban due to the weak coordinators and staff turnover had lost control of the roster.

These players are not smart and have been undisciplined going back 2-3 years.

How many guys from this year would start for a peak Saban team?

Ryan Williams
Tyler Booker
Proctor?
Brailsford
Tim Smith?
Domani Jackson?
Overton???

Not a single player on the defense would start on a Saban title team. Maybe some guys like LT would rotate in but that’s it

Offense Ryan, Brailsford, and maybe Bernard

I mean Lawson started last year, but the talent is down some for sure at DT and in the secondary. But we knew the secondary was bad.

The offensive side of the ball is a mess. Three straight years of very bad o line play. Plus QB play is nowhere since Bryce left. At least Williams brought some respect back to wr
