I still think someone could come in and work well with Milroe (like Kiffin-Sims), but good lord the Boob-Milroe combo is a huge liability. We've got to do something different just to win this game
This is a good point.
Pull up film from 2016 and see what worked with a QB who wasn't the best passer coming out of high school.

So, why was he recruited?
Because his elite athleticism gives him big potential.
Maybe he’ll figure it out. Maybe he won’t. Sometimes that’s on the coaches. Sometimes the player just doesn’t have the right traits to play QB.
He certainly didn’t have it figured out in that half.

Jalen Hurts on his worst day was better than Milroe. This isn't to do with the OC. Milroe could work with the best QB guru on the planet and never be as good as Jalen

You forget how bad Jalen was.

Jalen Hurts went through a period where he could barely complete a pass.
I just can’t believe Bama is playing this guy with a 5* passer on the bench.

We scored 20 points on Texas with Bryce at the helm.
Who is the constant in these games?

People thought he was like Lamar, he's more like Nick Marshall
Lamar Jackson's stats from his first career start:
9-20, 100 yards, 1 INT, 16 carries for 106 yards and a TD.
Louisville lost to Auburn 24-31.
So yes, let's make a final determination on Milroe's skills based on his first start

Hurts would hold onto the ball too long and drop his eyes too fast. But he always protected the ball well. Milroe's first half was the worst by a Bama quarterback of the Saban era, bar none.

I don’t remember Jalen ever turning it over three times in a half.

Bump for Milroe's THIRD passing TD.
Just awful!

That first half against Ole Miss in 2016 was fricking ugly.

In only 12 pass attempts.

As of right now, he's 68% passing with 3 TDs in his first ever college start.
It took Brodie Croyle until midway through his fourth season to have a game that efficient.

You can’t be serious with this comparison.
