MW#30 should be the punter instead of the emergency punter. He could also be the "safety" in punt coverage. With that He would not have to take on big blockers and run himself out of the play going around them rather than stuffing them.

With him being so important as the punter, get one of the back-up LB's more practice time. Could they really be much worse?

Mack and Dylan both flashed at times last year leaving us all to expect a big improvement at LB this year, but obviously it didn't go that way, and nobody is holding Golding accountable. Everyone seems to assume it's the players, but they have all the tools they simply look lost at times. Is that not coaching ?

This has been the worst LB play of the Saban era, and its Golding first season, and he has two former five star players to work with. I'm not saying its definitely Golding, but gotta admit I'm doubting his ability at this level.

He was supposed to be an elite recruiter, but I'm not sure I'm buying that either.

Golding can't help MW not completely whiff on tackles. And MW needs to get off Twitter all he does is talk shite and he's not backing any of it up.

Did y'all see where he posted that he was the best linebacker in the country? That is his problem. He doesn't think he needs to prep and play better.

LB coaching
2009 was the last time Alabama had two true LB coaches. Sal and Willis. Since then it has been Kirby, Pruitt and now Golding.

Mack is better suited as a WIL/Mack LB. He is not the headhunter type to take on blocks and stuff them at the LoS. That guy was supposed to be Ben Davis. Then there was VanDarius Cowan and Joshua McMillon. That leaves us with Markail Benton or Jaylen Moody (better suited at WIL) and Ale Kaho (also a WIL)

Dylan is not a Mike LB by any definition. He is a WIL or a 4-3 OLB. Does not have the strength to play Mike.

Guess we have to hope Shane Lee turns out to be a quick study as he looks like the best hope as a thumper moving forward.
