I would guess that just this one Twitter reaction video from an NFL star, like Marlon, creates more value for the University than the overall cost of sending this gear to all of our players currently in the NFL.

Just love the fact that so many alumni in the Saban era are so proud to have played for Bama.

Surprised Marlon of all players has ended up as successful as he has in the pros. The most I’ve remembered him for at Alabama was recovering that absolutely LEGENDARY onside kick in the Clemson game. After that, I don’t particularly remember him standing out like say Eddie Jackson or Landon Collins did.

I am too actually. I knew him in High school and my brother ran track with his brother, until my brother ran at Alabama. His mom was my track coach in middle school and is a great woman though so I am happy for them.

yep, I heard Bobby Humphrey talking about it. BHump, said he had his head down mumbling about having to kick the field goal, and saying we cant win this kicking field goals. Then is wife hit him in the side, yelling Marlon's got the ball, Marlon's got the ball. Bhump said he looked up and all the Ala fans were standing up yelling and celebrating.

Marlon left us as a redshirt Sophomore. He and the Q-man left before we hardly knew them.

If your starting corner isn't getting much attention, that's generally a good thing

I am reluctant to mention this, which is a symptom of the money involved in the NFL, but in my opinion I thought he, Foster and Allen all mailed it in a little bit in the lost to Clemson for the title. I am not sure it cost Bama the win, but I think it definitely contributed to it. I think Young mailed it in when Ohio State lost to Clemson last year. At least they did play, and their financial futures were at stake.
