I like Dabo as our next coach too, but man did he look old on Monday night after the game was over. I was kind of shocked. He looks like he has aged a decade in the last year.
I am intrigued by Pruitt at Tennessee too. Yeah he stole JJ Peterson from us yesterday and he has the Walker thing in the past, but if he can string together some good seasons in Nashville (losing to us every year of course) I wouldn't mind him taking over when Saban leaves. He's a hell of a recruiter and he's a Bama boy.

"Hey Huddie, I read that mega thread on Tide Fans about “Will Tua play against Ga”. It seems like Earl is concerned about our problems recruiting recievers and backs right now."
I haven't read that but even late last year I voiced concern that a one dimensional offense would eventually impact recruiting (yes people. I do know Jeudy signed last year. I said eventually). Just like when I said that Barnett would transfer, and that the offense would eventually get us beat, and that the receivers were obviously frustrated, I was shouted down and told I was wrong, but lo and behold, every single observation eventually was proven to be so. Course, it's not rocket science and anybody that can think for themselves might have seen it all coming.
I agree with him that the pick 6 Auburn game and the Clemson game with Watson influenced Saban to go with what he thought was going to be a dual threat RPO offense with Hurts. I'm sure the 2 losses to Ole Miss were also a factor, and moreover, the rules that favor such an offense right now. The linemen 3 yards downfield on a pass play is a good example of that.
If Saban will hire a coach that can coach such an offense, and let Tagovailoa run it, then it'll probably work. For that matter, Tua would be good in RPO or pro set offense.
I hope it's not too late to keep Tua. I have said before that the starting qb position would be open in the spring and that I thought Tua would win it and be the starting qb next season. I didn't think we'd be in the playoffs, though, after losing to Auburn. Now, if Hurts wins a national title, and Tua doesn't get any playing time in the game, I suppose Hurts will be the starter next season and Tua will transfer. But hey, in that case we will have won another national title, and it's possible Hurts can still get better, though I think it's going to take a for real quarterback coach for that to possibly happen. He hasn't improved with Daboll coaching him this year. I thought that Weinke or Werner, both of whom were on the support staff this year, would be given the job of qb coach, with the 10th assistant job open, but now they've both gone elsewhere.
Maybe our defense will play lights out tomorrow night and the offense will produce enough to win this game. I am cautiously optimistic. RTR

Dabo's teams play down to their competition much more than CNS's do. He's been lucky not to lose at least two games during the regular season these past few years.
He manages to lose at least one game per year he shouldn't lose.

Stop worrying about if Tua transfers. Someone else will come along.
Tua already knows the offense a new guy won't. Tua's brother is a big time recruit and no way he comes here if Tua leaves.
We'd have Hurts, a RS FR and maybe a TR FR if Tua leaves.

Let's not kid ourselves, people. As the joke goes, our reply to the jilted LSU fan is Saban may be an SOB, but he's our SOB. We shouldn't put on rose colored glasses and think Saban is some benevolent good ole boy to work for. The results speak for themselves and it's what we want, but it doesn't exactly win friends and influence people. The one thing I look forward to if Dabo succeeds Saban is a more likable person in the command seat. In the meantime, don't be shocked when people, especially former players and coaches, take shots, pull dirty tricks, and negative recruit against us. We reap what we sow.
Um, How about, No, Scott. \ Saban left LSU to try coaching NFL Football. He decided he didn't Like it and come back to the college game. . They had noplace to hate him or Alabama. Saban actually is pretty benevolent. he looks after his people, and secks for his assistants to be able to move up into head Coaching roles. heis response after the Tornado was pretty selfless and giving. The guy has a standard of right and wrong and loyalty. Negative recruiting may happen, but it's existence doesn't justify an anything goes rationale. If kirby truly did that, I hope we beat G A by 60, and send Someone to clive into his Knee on the sideline.
(T he last part was a joke of course.)
LOL. The stylus to typing feature obviously has its limitations

Dabo is much more the Bobby Bowden, aw shucks, persona compared to Saban the curmudgeon.
Bowden was dirty AF in recruiting. So was Bear, honestly, and he also cultivated the good ol boy persona. Recruiting is about lying and cheating to win. Kirby's maneuver was particularly ugly, though.

I thought the move by Dabo trying voodoo (with the grass clippings he brought) before the game was weird. I don’t want a coach that needs hokie spells to win games.

I thought it was a tribute to someone who died or something.

That's just disrespectful in any way you look at it. So foul....Expected more out of Kirby than to negative recruit your former team using inside info like that
Yeah I'm gonna disagree with you guys on this one. It's disrespectful and low class to lie to a recruit and tell them they're higher priority than they actually are.

What is all this talk about Bryant being a liar and stuff? Where is the evidence of that?
Posted on 1/7/18 at 6:03 pm to River_City_Tider
Why is Tua talk in this thread. I thought one was already created for that. Lets please try and keep it in that one.
In regards to Pruitt yes he was a snake in regards to D Walker. And you think he is any different now. Peterson at UT without even visiting, Walker now taking a serious look at them as well as ITS. You think recruiting was tough this year with Kirby next door wait until Pruitt gets a whole year to chase Saban targets all over the place.

You never stop....you literally never stop...do you have a mental issue? Honestly man look at your down votes to up votes on your last few threads, nobody likes you and it's your fault, you pushed everyone away with your annoying obsession with Tua, I don't even think you're trolling,I think you're seriously this obsessed.
