He was in a small market with FAU and didn’t have the same access. Take a look at Tenn, USC, and Oakland. Anytime he gets a big gig, he will self destruct.

You can go back and look at the old post from his time as a coordinator. All we wanted him to do was run the ball. I even have a t-shirt that has that message. I would have been more worried if he landed in Arkansas. Same resources, but less access to the college life.

You can bookmark it, I don’t think he is there for more than 3 years.

He won't up and run. He's got a huge advantage on everyone to land Arch Manning.

Saban will be retired by then.

I honestly think Kiffin wins a national championship at Ole Miss with Arch Manning at QB.

He ran the ball plenty and while there were some couch coaches and nuts out there screaming “rundabawwwl,” the stats showed he was very well balanced (aside from being the greatest offensive mind in college football in recent years).

I’d get rid of the shirt and then never again admit that I was one of the idiots that didn’t want Kiffin here.

I tend to agree with this. Even with all his success at Alabama, he was always teetering on the edge. Being under Saban's thumb was all that kept him in line.

OM boosters still don't think they did anything wrong. Kiffin will alway be Kiffin. That's a combination that isn't going to stay on the right side of the law for more than the time it takes to get Rebel Rags funded again.

He'll win games like Hugh and his tenure will almost certainly end in the same fashion.

As far as 'locking down' Mississippi? Yeah, he was going to do that at Tennessee too. None of the Mississippi schools will ever lock down that state when you've got Tiger Stadium, Bryant-Denny, Jordan-Hare, and the other venues knocking on recruit's doors.

Never said that I didn’t want him here. He was a great OC, but I am not stupid enough to say he was the best. Saban kept him in and line. Frankly, he ran the ball so much because he was getting his arse chewed.

As I said, I think he will do well, but he is going to run into trouble.

Ran it an absolute shite ton in the championship season with Henry. He made the guy the SECs all time single season rushing leader.

He ran it a ton at FAU with Singletary as well.

Lane Kiffin is the greatest offensive mind in college football.

Nobody gets the most out of their personnel like Kiffin. He's willing to do whatever it takes to maximize his teams strengths and exploit opponents weaknesses.

He won the SEC and made the playoff on 3 consecutive seasons with 3 first year starters at QB.

The man made Blake Sims a 3487 yard passer. Amari Cooper put up video game numbers that season.

Did wonders with Coker as well.

Then made a true freshman QB the sec offensive player of the year.

How in the frick did he self destruct at Tennessee?

It's hard to believe how fricking stupid some of these comments are. Were you a fricking fifth grader when he was in Knoxville?

This, 1,000%

Derrick Henry wins the fricking Heisman, has multiple 200 yard ganes, and totes the rock 46 times at Auburn...and dumbasses say that he didn't run the ball.

I think back 5 years ago playing Auburn in Bryant Denny.
They had all the momentum in the 3rd quarter.
Kiffin knowing their weakness was the secondary said enough of this charade & preceded to go 1 deep pass after another to Amari Cooper, Kiffin holding the TD signal up as each bomb was delivered.
Game over. 55-44 Bama.
The next year in Jordan Hare he sealed the Heisman for D.Henry running him down their throat in 4th quarter, play after play after play, knowing our Oline & Henry had wore their defense down.
I hope I'm wrong but I believe Ole Miss made a great hire.

If you think either Applewhite, McElwain, Nussmeier, Daboll. Locksley, or Sarkisian was better than Kiffin, then stupid is exactly what you are.

If you think that translates to being a good head coach you haven't been googling near enough. The guy can't stand prosperity. He's now been at more stops in his young career than a streetcar in San Fran. At every juncture, he has mismanaged the people around him and alienates the folks he works for. On top of that, his recruiting tactics have often been suspect.

Ole Miss taking a flier on this guy's track record continues a long tradition on reckless behavior.

I see the mouth breathers are out in full force. So Kiffin is a better coach than Belichick, huh?

'member when Kiffin told Alshon Jeffrey that he would be pumping gas if he went to South Carolina?

Kiffin also turned Taj Boyd and Bryce Petty down. Woof...........

Kiffin thought that Cooper Bateman was better than Jake "Just Living the Dream" Coker just before the Ole Miss game. How'd that work out?

He also reportedly kept Robert Foster from getting a lot of PT at WR. Foster is starting in the NFL.

Kiffin stopped running Henry when we were gashing OSU and started trying to throw it all over the field with Sims. We were up two TD's and they had no answer for Henry. 2 INT's later by Sims and we lost.

YUP YUP YUP.

Last but not least, the ultimate sin: Kiffin underutilizing OJ Howard when he was here. Kiffin doesn't like TEs.

He certainly got a nonexistent Florida Atlantic program pointed in the right direction.
2014, 15, & 16 they went 3-9 each year.
He arrives in 17, they go 11-3, Conference USA champs, win Boca Raton Bowl 50-3.
In 18, they slip back to 5-7.
2019, 10-3, Conference USA champs again, going to another bowl.

Good. Maybe we can add another quality win to the schedule so one freaggin loss doesn’t put you in jeopardy of not making the playoffs.

Yea Kiffin will be a pain in the arse on Twitter but I’m not scared of him in the field at all. Ole Miss has beaten us about once a decade in their entire existence. Yea Kiffin will troll and run his smart arse suck and be disrespectful for sure.
