I would never have admitted anything close to this before the last two games. Hell yes I would rather have had Milroe the last few weeks. At least Milroe had better accuracy and knew when to haul arse.. and he wasn't sliding before a first down. The man almost always wanted a TD when he ran. Whats up with Russell holding onto the ball so long and and its rare that he will run. Is he scared in both cases ? And I dam sure don't want to hear about the O-line. There are so.many qbs making plays happen out of nothing because they dont have an o-line.. If you get a chance and can bear it watch the replys.. zoom in on his feet.. The man is doing the cha cha shuffle with those happy feet. I mean yeah he won the starting position. But some people handle pressure in a whole new way it real life situations and theres no changing it to being consistent. This is not practice where he won the job. Deboer has got to try something with his qbs with Keelon is actually playing horrible and hurting the team. But I can tell now.. Deboer would never .. even for a few series change it up with Mack.

You’re comparing Keelon’s 2 bad games to Milroe’s 2 seasons worth as a starter? Not quite fair.

Milroe didn’t lose an SEC game is first year as a starter and 12 has already lost 2.

This is Keelons 1st year he's going to have growing pains. Thats why the coaches should protect him but they dont.

He also had the greatest coach of all time and a solid defense to lean on.

Also conveniently leaving out Milroe's stinker vs Texas that year.

This ^^^

His OC completely sets him up for failure. Grubb is a clown.

Yeah, Keelon Russell under a Saban coaching staff would’ve been a thing of beauty.

You can try and protect a guy but if he’s going to sit in the pocket for six seconds that not the OC’s problem

He wasnt my choice to start in the 1st place. I would have went with a qb thats been in the system longer. That being said he is our starting qb, that is a 1st year starter. Do you think Grubbs calling rpo and going empty on the 1st drive was a remedy for success? I think there are things Grubb could have done to help Keelon work his way into the game.

It is when the play design has every receiver at least 20 yards downfield.

Nothing underneath, no check down, there’s this thing called a delayed release I’m not sure Grubb ever heard of.

Keelon holds the ball too long. Milroe held the ball too long.

Grubb and Sheridan both call slow developing pass plays (run plays too).

Both QBs seem to want to play “hero ball”. Is that the player or the system?

Are we asking our QBs to do too much processing?

I think it's worth noting that Milroe looked considerably worse in year 2 under DeBoer than year 1 under Saban.

There's something going on with Russell..You can see it in his eyes. The game is becoming big to him and that's a mind thing which is not good

I have watched the games. You’re comparing Milroe with a Saban offensive line and competent offensive coordinator to Russell who has proven to complete medium range passes even with a dumbass offensive coordinator. You must’ve forgotten Milroe lost in this same game two years ago, and if it weren’t for his ability to run, he would be selling cars right now.

I do agree that he has seemed different in demeanor, more than just the typical “our team is getting our asses handed to us” kind of deal. Something feels off and I can’t tell where all it is coming from. Who knows what these players have going on behind the scenes on top of the pressure they already have, idk. Maybe that’s just how he has always been as a player when it comes to facing adversity, but every time the camera cut to him today he looked like he knew the game was over even early on when the game was far from over. Maybe Neyland crowd just knows how to unsettle tf our of us.
