I don’t know of anyone … I know I haven’t … who has tried to argue that we need to give DeBoer a chance to do his thing his way with his people in place before we say he isn’t the right man for the job who has defended his and his staff’s preparation and execution for the Oklahoma game,
People keep harping about Vanderbilt like that was an unpardonable sin but I am WAY more angry about Oklahoma because of the stakes and because they knew Venables who’s a dud IMO as a head coach but is still an exceptional defensive coordinator had two weeks to get ready for it and they should have been doubly prepared as well. The obviously poor preparation both mentally and physically was unacceptable, mic drop.
I am hoping he learned the lesson that you can’t ever … EVER .. just pencil in any SEC game as a gimme, especially on the road, and you have to be ready to do business every week in this conference. If he hasn’t learned that lesson …

You dumbasses just bought into the slanted media that didn't want Alabama in at full cost and didn't want SEC to match the B1G with 4 reps
The media had absolutely zero to do with Bama sitting home in favor of two lower ranked teams because they happened to be champions of a weaker conference. It was the rules set up by the system that screwed us, when #12 and #16 get to go ahead of us. The committee themselves said we were more deserving when they ranked us higher. The rules of a fricked up system put ASU and Clemson in ahead of us, not the media.

Stop trying to polish that turd. OU wasn't a great team.

I think Indiana is just proof that a really good G-5 team could probably beat up on the bottom half of the B1G, because that's essentially what they are. Their starting QB is from the MAC, leading receiver came over from JMU, second leading rusher/top TD scorer came over from JMU, and both of their top 2 in sacks came over from JMU. They brought in a lot of guys from the portal but almost all of them were from G-5s or bottom tier P-4 programs.

Auburn didn't even play against the same QB, and they played OU at home. OU had a bye before 'Bama and spent two weeks installing a clone of Vandy's offense. Even with the struggles, 'Bama wins that game easily with halfway competent QB play.

Same story with LSU and South Carolina against OU. All 3 teams held them better on defense. Combine that with poor offense performance... We looked like unprepared garbage. There's no way to spin that.
Your comparisons are awful.
So let me get this straight.... OU had most of their wr out and we didn't expect them to run the ball? We didn't adjust to that?! Here is a link to all the players OU had out for that game: LINK.
There's no excuse for how we looked. That OU team we played was very very weak. THAT'S why that loss was so big.
My comparisons are based on stats from the games from the like opponents. How is that awful?

Oklahoma would stomp a mudhole in Indiana. Maybe Notre Dame.

The Bama QB literally spotted them the points they needed to win. Trying to blame the defense when your offense scores -4 points is rich

Yes he did. Combined with the OC that didn't adjust and the defense that didn't adjust. Blaming everything on the QB when the stats show a complete team loss on both sides of the ball and in the booth... That makes no sense.
