Have to wonder if they will look at rescheduling this game if Tuscaloosa ends up on the east side of this storm- they will play in rain but they aren’t going to play in TS conditions.
I wonder if it will just be bumped to Monday if this thing flares up and tracks towards Tuscaloosa. Can’t see ESPN agreeing to a Sunday game.

Did some research on game impacted by weather since I couldn't remember the specifics:
1. Moving Kickoff to Sunday or Monday
The most common solution for a storm expected to pass quickly is pushing the game back 24 to 48 hours.
This keeps the host venue, avoids travel re-booking nightmares, and allows local emergency services to focus on Saturday response efforts.
Georgia at South Carolina (2016 - Hurricane Matthew): Originally scheduled for Saturday night in Columbia, the SEC moved kickoff to Sunday afternoon at 2:30 PM ET once the storm cleared.
Tennessee at LSU (2005 - Hurricane Rita): Pushed from Saturday to Monday night in Baton Rouge.
Miami at Florida State (2004 - Hurricane Frances): Shifted from a Thursday night Labor Day broadcast to Sunday night.
Moving Kickoff to Earlier on Saturday
If the worst of the weather is forecasted for Saturday evening or night, administrators often move kickoff to Saturday morning or early afternoon to finish the game and clear stadium traffic before conditions deteriorate.
Appalachian State at LSU (2008 - Hurricane Gustav): Moved from a night kickoff to 11:00 AM local time.
Boise State at Florida State (2019 - Hurricane Dorian): Moved from a 7:00 PM kickoff in Jacksonville to a 12:00 PM kickoff in Tallahassee.
Alabama at Ole Miss (2020 - Hurricane Delta): Kickoff time was adjusted based on projected landfalls along the Gulf Coast.
3. Relocating to the Away Team’s Stadium or a Neutral Site
If the host city faces infrastructure damage, severe flooding, or a shortage of local law enforcement available for stadium detail, the SEC has swapped home venues or moved to a neutral domed stadium.
Missouri at LSU (2020 - Hurricane Delta): Originally scheduled for Baton Rouge, the game was moved to Columbia, Missouri, with LSU remaining designated as the home team.
South Carolina at LSU (2015 - Hurricane Joaquin/Flooding): Severe flooding in Columbia forced the game to Baton Rouge.
BYU vs. LSU (2017 - Hurricane Harvey): Moved from NRG Stadium in Houston to the Superdome in New Orleans.

I got a pretty good return for a buddy's tickets through Seatgeek yesterday, wonder what would happen with that if this game gets moved. I'm not too worried unless tomorrow evening's forecast is more of the same, too many factors in play right now to make decisions about the weekend.

I think they should probably think about playing this on Friday. I’d rather lose a walkthrough day on Friday than a practice day on Monday to recovery.

If impact is due Saturday night they can move it up to like 2pm and probably be fine. Changing the day is a whole different set of problems.

If it's played any time on Saturday the ground game is going to be a lot more important than it already is. It will be in swirling, gusty winds which will play hell on a ball in flight. Hopefully we don't try to field any punts

lol no. Bama has TN and UGA has AU the next week. There is a less than zero chance this game woudl be moved to Monday considering htat .
I attended the 2016 UGA/SC game in columbia that got pushed back a day to Sunday due to some storm which was a weird environment. Looking at those teams' schedules we have Vandy at home and they had UMASS at home the following weekend so not as big a deal.
I know we're still a long way out but I can't imagine moving this game unless it's pretty much a 100% known fact on Thursday that there will be a hurricane/tornado directly over west alabama. They'll play in heavy rains and winds.

that would seem a lot more likely IMO. Sure the TV networks will bitch taht their lineups are now altered but that seems to be the easiest solution that disrupts the least amount of entities. I remember last season against some scrub tomato can early in the season UGA moved the game up an hour the mornign of the game due to potential bad weather late. I mean, the game kicked off in like 5 hours adn the school announced "actaully scratch that we're moving the game up, now it's 4 hours til kick". I'd never seen that before....if that's on the table surely it can be figured out a few days in advance.
