Someone help me out here, is he truly the best qb on campus? Is the Simpson kid not ready? Honest questions not having any ties for info. TIA.

None of us know.

Enjoy the ride with the basketball team and worry about this later.

I honestly think he lost a year of development under O’Brien. If he was under Sark or Kiffin, I would be very confident in his improvement.

If he is then we'll be in a great spot. Dude has the athleticism to be a game breaker, but he'll have to be great inside the pocket to beat out Simpson.

We're fine either way.

I am not trying to be a dick, but is there anything that has happened since the season that would indicate who is the guy? Id let spring play out and see where we are. If you're asking for my opinion; then no. Ty will be our starter by the first or second game.

O'Brien was fine with Bryce because his football IQ is incredible.

It was a disaster waiting to happen with most QBs though. Look at that stretch of QBs getting drafted high that Jimbo had at FSU. His entire offense was isolating a player on defense and the QB throwing to a receiver based on what that player does. Super simple. Rich Rod in Arizona essentially had one play type on one side of the field and a different one on the other side. The QB would read and then throw to one side of the field or the other based on coverage.

We don't even have to dumb it down that much, but we need to let our athletes be athletes and make things easier on whoever the QB ends up being.
