I think Mack starts with Russell 2 with Simpson leaving. Coach wouldn't have brought Mack with him if he liked what he already had.

Well Mack is currently fourth string so
This Russell/Mack stuff just sounds like the Julian Sayin will start year one fluff. Neither of them will start next year

The cleanest way to do it if Simpson isn't the guy is to bring in a portal guy with a year of eligibility remaining and then let the young guys battle it out for 2026.

Honestly, IMO I sense a feeling in a lot of quarters on this board that Simpson deserves a chance to start because he's been jerked around and not given a real chance.
I don't think he's been given a real chance and again, if he's the guy I'll be in his corner.
But has been stated quite often here in the last few days, maybe there's a reason the last two coaching staffs seem to have determined that he's not No. 1 QB material even with Milroe sucking arse and aside from any conspiracy theories.
