Since 08 has the result not been the same?

Ingram on the Heisman.

Richardson was even better than Ingram, won the Walker.

Lacy could've matched, or beat, their production if he had the same number of carries they did. Likely to be the first back drafted this year.

Yeldon is already a top two RB going into next season.

Hart was the only other one who was truly hyped up and he's had two major injuries that have held him back, but before those injuries he was pushing hard over Lacy to be the second back behind T-Rich, so that tells you something.

You want me to shut up because I think its stupid to give a nickname to a player that hasnt even played a down in a UA uniform? I never said he isn't a good player or will be solid. I've given him his praise but I will reserve my judgement until I see him play.

If he's getting high praise in practice...I think he'll be a solid player for us..and for players like Mosley to single him out and praise him is also another indicator the guy is going to pan out. But like you...I do want to see him in live action.

To be fair I don't think we can say Mosley really praised him as much as pointing out that he's built similar to TR except taller.

Why don't we actually let him play a down first?

And what is this nonsense you speak??????????????????? don't you know the "next guy" is ALWAYS gonna be better than the last guy.
According to multiple reports in the media and people i know, Henry has a lot to learn in his technique, especially blocking and catching. He isn't a natural receiver and hasn't been asked to block in high school so it's brand new to him. We all know you have to be a complete RB to play as a frosh and he's not a shoe in just because he's big and can run.

John Henry is an American folk hero and tall tale. He worked as a "steel-driver"—a man tasked with hammering a steel drill into rock to make holes for explosives to blast the rock away. He died during the construction of a tunnel for a railroad. In the legend, John Henry's prowess as a steel-driver was measured in a race against a steam powered hammer, which he won, only to die in victory with his hammer in his hand. The story of John Henry has been the subject of numerous songs, stories, plays, and novels.[1][2]

thanks for the history lesson....

back to football.....GUYS....Lemme ask you something?????Do you trust Nick Saban?......Of Course....Look at our recent history at RB....We have Basically become RB U! Henry will "Pan Out"....same as ingram, trent, lacey, yeldon.....He "killed" the 4rth quarter program which is supoosed to basically break you! He is a monster...he eats football...push ups in the middle of the night....Saban doesnt go after players he cant make "pan out" at RB...that is prolly the most if not second most important possition on the field....

Let me get this out of the way first: "..." does not replace ".".

Me trusting Saban has no bearing on anything. I can tell you he's not infallible. He will make mistakes. His track record so far shows that he misses on an RB about once a year, whether it be injuries, discipline problems, or talent/drive.

We can celebrate the successes, but don't tell me every single RB recruit will pan out. It just won't happen. So back the original point many of us were making...(swidt?) let the guy play a few games before you anoint him. That's all. Be excited about his potential, sure, but let him get a few games behind him.

Your argument about trusting Saban is noted and applies to All Bama RBs' not just Henry, it applies to Altee, Kamara and probably more than all of them Tyren Jones....... Henry's already struggling with the blocking schemes and catching the ball but those things don't get mentioned

People just see 6'3" 240 4.5 40 and think he's going to step right in and be an unstoppable monster. At the end of the day though, he is probably the least prepared for college football of all 4 incoming freshmen. Mostly because his HS team's offense consisted of "hand off to Derrick 50 times." There is a lot more to the RB position than just running. He needs to learn pass protection first and foremost. He also needs to prove that he can catch a screen pass. Otherwise the defense will know exactly what is coming any time he is on the field.

No way! How is an injury Sabans miss? Fowler would have been a beast had he not been hurt. Not Sabans miss. He signs 3-4 a year for injuries sake sure. But not a miss if they get injured.

Lets keep in mind guys....we are not talking about a run of the mill rb here. We are talking about

He makes our "bruiser" from last year(fowler) look like a pipsqueek. The last time anyone saw a kid as big and as fast was Bo Jackson....im just saying. Cant blame a guy for expecting big things

Hello!...we throw a screen..what.....once a game. We run up the middle ....the whole 4rth quarter....they know it, we know it....if you have a guy like d henry....it doesnt matter if he can catch a swing pass or screen. We will leave that to yeldon. He is a freak!...Im telling you....he didnt break the high scholl running back record for nothing
