We had 3 key injuries at the 3 position groups you can’t afford to have an injury at vs Tennessee.

Delgatty was the biggest injury, our OL had so many freakin blown assignments

RCW was massive. Without him there other guys weren’t able to get open.

Terrance Green, by far our best interior DL, we have sucked against the run the last 6 quarters without him.

If we get those guys back and somehow win in Baton Rouge I still think we can make noise in a playoff

An even bigger factor was having a coaching staff dumb enough to trot out yesterday's game plan knowing those players were not going to be available.

You can put whatever gameplan you want, but Russell wasn’t making the Vols do anything different.

He’s going to need to put in a good chunk of film work, because it’s been two weeks in a row a good defense has put him in a blender.

A big factor in losing yes. A big factor in being pushed around and quitting no.

Everyone has injuries. Weeks and Green are out for LSU. Taylor is out for MSU. Florida was without their starting QB and went to Austin and won. Injuries are going to be the nature of the beast going forward with a nine game schedule.

I would say that would be a factor in keeping the game a bit out of reach for a bit to be a struggle win, but shouldn’t have been enough for us to absolutely implode like that.

They were a factor for sure. I think maybe we have a shot to win if everyone is healthy. But our wr core is kinda a joke without RCW. Like there's no threat anywhere. I think delgatty wouldn't have helped that much. I think Terrance green would've helped. But man one guy shouldn't be that big of a difference

Yeah, let's blame the teenager playing on the road without his starting center or #1 WR instead of the adults who chose not to do anything differently to compensate for those factors. MacIntyre is fricking trash but they made it work just by giving him nothing but easy throws that kept the ball in his hands for less than 2 seconds. Why did we not try to do anything similar more than sporadically, much less try to establish a run game, once it was clear Keelon was rattled? Any offense that has to have elite QB play just to function is garbage.

DeBoer cannot adjust. They run what they run every week and the chips fall where they may.

We gave MacIntyre easy throws by being 10 yards off the line.

We also gave Russell easy throws yesterday and he wouldn’t take them. He had tight ends and backs leaking out constantly on some of his sacks. It’s the same schtick as the Georgia drive, he needs to just pull the trigger sometimes

You can’t just baby Russell here. He needs to grow, he played like shite.

So the QB is visibly rattled and it's actually his fault for not getting through his progressions to his checkdowns even faster while under pressure like he's a senior with 27 starts under his belt? That's fricking absurd. You call shite that doesn't require him to think and gets the ball out of his hands, and you run the ball. That is what takes pressure off a young QB who is struggling, not having a RB leak out of the backfield as a safety valve he probably won't even get to because he's shitting his pants and doesn't know where to go with the ball. Quick underneath passing and committing to the run just aren't a part of this offense. They're an afterthought or change of pace. It's only going to work against good defenses with an upperclassman QB playing behind a great OL. In that sense it's not really an offense at all and more like a 16 year old playing Madden.

Russell has got to get rid of the ball and not take sacks.

He had six seconds in the pocket at times. Yeah dude, that’s on him.

There’s rattled and rushing/missing guys and then there’s just refusing to pull a trigger. You can’t whine and moan about a million things and just ignore that

Where exactly did I say he played well? Obviously he didn't. Anyone watching could see that. Your solution, and the solution of our coaches, seems to be telling a struggling QB to just play better instead of doing literally anything to help him, which is fricking ridiculous.

They did help him, he didn’t do well with options given to him.

My point is you can’t just continue to glaze over that and complain when people criticize the QB. Keelon isn’t being gimped by his coordinators so much as it’s his own doing at times.

We have three backs that can carry the rock (Hill needs to stop fumbling). With how aggressive tenner's defense was playing the QB, the run game should've been utilized much more than it was. I am not quite sure how this isn't obvious to $12.5m coaches and their staff. The announcers kept saying how EC13 was going to get at least 10 touches per the coaching staff. Homie had 1 touch. WTF?

Empty sets on 3rd and long vs the best pass rush in the league is as gimped as it gets.

A RB or TE safety valve is not helping a first year starter at QB who is seeing ghosts. Period. Full stop. He's not going to the checkdowns because he's panicking. He's not cutting it loose because he's panicking. So what do you propose doing? The same shite that isn't working. This isn't a rookie QB in the NFL playing for a team that knows it's going to win 5 games. You have to take the ball out of his hands and try to win the goddamn game.
