Also at some point, right after the Sanders stop I think, I calmly turned to my wife and said some Bammerish thing about "If Saban really can't put a better product on the field than this maybe he should consider whether things are moving in the right direction."

30 seconds after Metchie caught that pass "You gonna apologize about Coach now or later?"

I did then try the "but for 58 minutes that was awf-" "shutup" "yes mam".

My dad and I are pacers and this is the first Iron Bowl we've watched on tv together in a while. When we got flagged for a pointless facemask early in the first quarter we had already crossed paths several times and gotten on each other's nerves. So my parents banished me to my old bedroom to watch the remainder of the game

I was saying very unkind things about Pete Golding during this sequence, but then when their like #8 WR makes a diving 1 handed catch in traffic to tie it up I immediately went back to "of fricking course that would happen" and prepared myself for the coming L when they went for 2. Then Harsin's stupid arse sent the kick team out there and I started spouting off at the TV about how it was obviously a fake and who on the defense is going to frick it up this time? Then they actually kicked it and at that point I was actually pretty confident we'd win for like 10 minutes until their backup walkon kicker drills a 50 yarder, because of course Auburn's backup walkon kicker drills a 50 yarder in OT of the Iron Bowl.

Haha. I have a bike on a trainer in the living room since its winter. I kept finding myself on it pedaling and mentally reminding myself I had guests over and to get off.

LOL and he like #40 or some shite. Finley can't even walk and he throws an absolute piss rod seed falling sideways that literally clears 2 defenders by a total of 5 inches and then the random arse spring training number WR one hand catches it barely in the back of the end zone. Then their walk on kicker absolutely drills one from 47 frickin yards out.

LOL after we win the national title we're gonna look back and realize that we should have known it right then and there in Auburn.

I’ve gotten a lot better in the last few years of actually bottling up my emotions when I’m watching a game. I still feel the same intensity of the situation, I just don’t holler as much.

All I could do was try to make light of the moment with my diehard cousin by saying sorry coach Nicholas that plays on me(the fan) Then my cousin would get upset and I would tell him it was his attitude at that moment that caused our bad play.

It was tough to watch…… til the end!

Lolol, this is so similar to my experience. I watch all the games at my parents' house. My Dad tried to watch it with me twice, but I was too much for him and he went back to his room both times. Around halftime I entered into a zen state where everything was just fine and I was no longer that upset. I started working a puzzle in the living room (mom's family Christmas tradition). When the snap was low on that failed 4th down, I just chuckled and said, "Of course" and put another piece into the puzzle.

Finally, their Hopper in the living room messed up and I had to watch the last 8 or so minutes in my Dad's room. I'm glad I did, we jumped, we hugged, we nearly cried. It was great.

By the middle of the 3rd I had come to the conclusion that we were going to lose. So I calmed down a bit. If I go into a game expecting us to win and we play like crap that's when I'm stressed. This Seccg is really just playing with house money. I don't expect us to win, though I'll be pulling for us to, so I doubt I'll be throwing those fbombs out there. Just gonna relax and hope for a good game.
