It’s the most frustrating game I’ve been to live. Everything about it screamed second half, tiger stadium, 2012. We just could not move the football or get out of our own way with mistakes and penalties. It was 4 hours of misery and dread for a minute of ecstasy, but it was certainly worth it.

I watched the final drive and overtime on the rail at the bottom of the upper deck. Had some cuck Bama fan standing next to me with his auburn buddy and after every play said something along the lines of “oh we don’t deserve this” or “we’re just so lucky, auburn deserves to win this game.” Mind you, we had more yards in penalties than Auburn had in total offense at this point. As bad as we looked on offense, they were worse

When Brooks caught the touchdown, I asked him, rather loudly, “Was that luck? That was a 97 yard drive with no timeouts. Was that luck?” Guy didn’t know wtf to say and his auburn buddy just looked like he realized exactly what point I was making. I’m not a violent person, but it took some restraint to knock backhand that guy in that moment . My rage built a little more every time he said it

Unfortunately I was watching this game with my future in-laws, who live in the pacific northwest. They don't really get too worked up about things, and were a little bit shocked at my reactions throughout the game. I assured them I only get like that two or three times a year. When we fumbled the snap I did drop a regrettable F-bomb for all to hear.

Having been to Tiger stadium in 2012 and 2014, it takes a lot for me to just completely count us out in a game with time remaining, regardless of how inept we’ve looked up until do or die time. Tiger stadium isn’t JHS though. We own tiger stadium. When Tyson dropped that ball I just had that feeling of well it isn’t our night, this hexed house of horrors prevails again.

When Sanders was stopped on 4th down, it felt exactly like it did when Yeldon fumbled that ball inside of two minutes deep in our own territory. There were just a lot of parallels between those games and this one. When we converted the initial first down on the final drive, I was cautiously feeling pretty good about our chances. I knew the tempo would throw auburn off.

My in-laws watch sports, and even have their favorite teams, but they don't really have any emotional attachment to it. It's a trait they unfortunately passed on to my wife. I have tried, but I cannot watch an Alabama game with them because I always get dirty looks when I start to yell at the TV. "You know they can't hear you." Yes I fricking know they can't hear me. No I don't care.

It's funny, because that was the moment of the game when I was like "yea we're losing". More so than the Sanders stop, even.

You want to be like "YES I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND AND COMPREHEND HOW IRRATIONAL AND RIDICULOUS I AM BEING AND I DO NOT CARE".

Like, your rants about the latest spending bill or mask policy won't change anything either, but you do it anyway. SO SHADDUP.

Exactly. Fortunately my wife is a reliable referee and now I get to go down to the basement and watch by myself so I can pace back and forth and bitch about BooB's playcalling and the latest SEC ref frickery in peace.

I kid you not !

The only thing I yell at tv for is for Jobe to get back!
The kid is up to jam and recover like he's prime time.
Its like we could have an Offenses at a crucial possession and they know when nothing else is working go at jobe.Dont get me wrong Ive always said he should be a safety day one. But man on 3rd and 15's he up in bump in run.

I’ve gotten a lot better in the last few years of actually bottling up my emotions when I’m watching a game. I still feel the same intensity of the situation, I just don’t holler as much.

I have exceptions of course. When we do the same shite over and over that isn’t working I tend to verbally lose it. Examples of this are running the ball to the right side in a critical situation, and driving to the rim and throwing up a prayer in a close basketball game.

My girlfriend is a barner and we watched the game together. I don’t recall the exact situation but the only time I lost it was on a run right for no gain. She’s looked at me like “really, that’s what caused you to break.”

We all have our boiling point though

I bought the tickets on stubhub and unbeknownst to me they were literally the top row in the house. So we ended up standing the entire game at the very top and just walked to the 50 yard line. This allowed us a 10 yard buffer for most of the game where I essentially paced back and forth in a 10 yard area to the tune of several miles. Seeing her joy when they scored that first touchdown made me question the entire relationship, and I love the girl dearly

It was such an odd mixture of "we're totally gonna lose this game" and "I'm confident we make a run"

LOL I'm the exact same way. In a game like that one I generally just sit/stand there (at home or in person at the game) with arms crossed, a growl on my face, no sounds except for sarcastic laughs every time something terrible happens. It's become my coping mechanism to not act like a crazy person.

But then random small things happen and I just fvckin explode, and they are very similar to your trigger moments

If I remember correctly my explosions Saturday were
- after running bunches for 2 straight open easy 20+ yard pass plays into the red zone we then ran 2 straight simple runs that put us in like 3rd and 9
- the facemask where we grabbed an earhole after the one earlier when we grabbed nothing (even though the earhole might have been a penalty I dunno it was a boiling point thing)
- when they went like 4 plays and scored in the first OT after gaining like 20 yards on the previous 50 plays

The dropped FG, the 4th down stop, their guy making a 87 yard field goal, the bad snap on 4th........those things just made me do the satanic chuckle and calmly say "unreal, unreal". I think that scared my kids more than the yelling, honestly.

Absolute mirror image. My sarcastic laughs that I recall came on the dropped snap, and the roughing the passer that negated the interception

LOLOLOL I saw a flag show up and immediately just went HAHAHAHAHAHA WE HIT HIM LATE and my kids were EXTREMELY confused why I thought it was funny that a horrible thing had happened

Then the replay happened and I felt bad for being some sarcastically mean because it was bullshite and we didn't really hit him very late or hard.
