Than the 2010 team.
The 2010 team lost 3 games. South Carolina by 14, lsu by 3 and auburn by 1.
This years team (despite both coordinators) lost to Tennessee by 3 and lsu by 1, all on the last play of the game! Despite those 2 losses, this team still deserved to be in the playoffs. All you have to do is look at their game today. This k state team they totally dominated after falling behind 10-0, beat one of the playoff teams (TCU) in a game that wasn’t as close as the final score indicated.
Would we have won the national championship….maybe not but we definitely should have been one of the four!

Its the players. The final play that worked against us when we played LSU worked again today.

I feel bad for the players because they had the worst combination of coordinators since Saban arrived. AND due to that and some player issues, this team never had great chemistry which led to 2 close losses.

The injury to Young definitely hurt, especially the LSU game. You could tell he barely practiced before the game and his timing was way off with the receivers.

The Tennessee game was on the players as bad as it is to say. 17 penalties, a player touching a punt that made it live and losing the ball, kicker missing the game winning kick, Gibbs dropping a pass that hit him in the hands.

It is what it is, your not going to win a championship every year. Alabama has 18 in over a 100 years of playing football. Same for the conference title, Bama has won 29 in over 90 years of SEC play. Can't win it every year.

Sucks, but I'm proud of this 11 win season, Sugar Bowl win and wins at Texas (Bama's 1st ever there), win over Auburn and win over Kansas St (1st ever meeting).

Bama isn't going anywhere though, they will be playing for a playoff spot next November.

This team's fundamentals suck.

Our coordinators suck but they don't cause OL to false start or hold. They don't cause ILBs to be in the wrong position or act like they forgot how to tackle.

Even for the coordinator talk, this is a playoff team if it doesn’t commit so many penalties. Just wasn’t a disciplined team this year.

This is it. The bad thing its not even young guys who commit the penalties. How many third downs have turn i to first downs because of penalties. Today 3rd and long and Dale gets a hands to the face penalty.

The 2010 team played in a brutal division. This team would have been 7-5 against that team's schedule. The 2010 team would've gone to the SEC championship 12-0 with the 2022 schedule.

So I’m assuming you think South Carolina would beat us, and that 2017 UCF were the national champions.
