I absolutely loved it. Holding people accountable.

a lot of irony in this considering the game he had vs UT

But people wanted Hellams to be benched for his performance...

Every player has a bad game. He bounced back and had an awesome game last night.

I think he can and should be situational at times. But last night he showed out.

Hellams was dealt a bad hand vs UT. There’s a reason safeties aren’t asked to cover WR’s one on one just like corners aren’t relied on to stop the running game.

That was the most encouraging thing from the game in my opinion. Defense performed about as I expected given how well they match up against Leach's offense, but the emotional/leadership improvement I think is a more encouraging takeaway.

Hellams is always awesome closer to the line of scrimmage and when he is put into a position to be successful. He was hung out to dry last week.

Not his fault he kept getting schemed to cover a WR one-on-one he literally can cover (or run with).

You can't have a safety 10 yard from LOS and play run first then play safety help over the top when the receiver get free release on go routes

He’s gonna be a crucial piece against LSU and OM

You have a good point! What's the best adjustment for us if we see them again?

That was mostly performative in context. Kind of silly to do that in the field up 30-0. That should have been addressed in the film room or practice field. As it is, that’s not really being a good teammate to me

Bull shite it’s the last play of the game and they score a garbage time TD to get out of the shutout. That’s the exact time you chew a teammate’s arse because he was out of position on the play and let the guy walk in. If you care that much about a guy’s feelings after he screws up then football probably isn’t for you.

I guess you weren’t around for AJ McCarron slapping Barrett Jones on the arse in the final minutes of the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP game, that we were about to handedly win, when he didn’t get the snap off at the right time? Lack of accountability is how we got to where we are. It is EXACTLY what we need and as the guy in the video that was posted on here last week said, “take your arse to Troy or UAB” if they don’t want that kind of accountability.

That's faux accountability in this context, not leadership. Acting the fool up 30 to embarrass a teammate is bush league

Highly doubt he was showing him up. It's an emotional sport and he was invested in not conceding which we just did.

It’s not to embarrass. It’s to teach. We’ve been “hand holding” for a few years now and it’s not working. However back when we crawled arse we seemed to do a lot better.
