"Saban couldnt get rid of him?" Saban gets rid of anyone he want to get rid of. Especially now, he could get rid of him. Obviously he doesnt want to. A year or two ago, a poster on this board made one of the dumbest posts ever when he said that Saban had already told Golding he was gone after the season was over. Although there was great rejoicing on this board, he is still here. That had to be one of the all time dumb arse post.

Wasn't it two years ago that Golding got a big raise to stay at Alabama?

The only thing that makes me wonder is Nick has rarely fired anyone outright. He has always encouraged and helped them find a place to land. And most of his assistants have no trouble finding a landing spot. But since Golding’s first season when everyone thought he was the golden boy, he’s had little interest from other programs. Only LaLa showed any interest this off season and now the DUI. I’m not sure CNS wants to keep Pete as much as he’s having trouble getting rid of him.

Pete’s defense has gotten better each year as the season has gone on and is statistically in the top Defenses in the nation . Saban has said over and over that defenses are not going to be like Ds of old … if he wanted PG gone he would be… I think he is pleased with Pete

Trolling folks who assume a rumor is true and then "shoot the messenger" if it's not.

A complete list of the comings and goings of Nick's staff.

It appears Bama might get stuck with paying Drew Svoboda his salary since the coach hasn't taken another gig as of today.

Drew Svoboda: The tight ends coach last season is still listed on Alabama’s staff directory but without a position, after Cox and Hutzler were hired to fill the roles he held last season.
