So, I APOLOGIZE in advance if this post violates any Board etiquette, Ok?
I've been a long time poster on 247 and its various predecessors. Now that they've gone to a fee based board, I wanted to see what y'all have going on here.
OH! And I saw a post here yesterday that suggested I say:
"Milroe has potential and Rees was a good OC."
So I'll just throw that in to ingratiate myself with the board!!!

Thanks, and no problem.
The 247 Bama board was basically freaking out (to a degree) as well. Sort of goes with the territory.
We've been so blessed to have a 17 year run, most Bama fans don't even remember what its like replacing a good coach - really, its been since 1996? right?

I've been on that board (or its predecessors) for over 20 years. So I sort feel like maybe I've been kidnapped, tied up, taken away, and held for ransom. ;-)
Its not that the cost is "That" much, its really just the principle (as opposed to the principal).

My only memories of bad times were me rolling around the living room as a little kid wondering why my dad was always so mad at this weird sport. By the time I was old enough to get into it we had some talent and decent seasons and there was hope.
Then Saban when I was a teenager and life has been great ever since

FWIW, I'm an old fart. I was already in Grad school at UA before Stallings was hired. I was at Legion Field for Coach Stallings' first game......
Its Funny to think how long its been that we've had the GOAT, but most 20-somethings likely don't even REMEMBER Alabama football struggling. I DON'T expect us to "Struggle" under DeBoer!!! But its also naive to "Assume" there won't be at last some drop-off, at least at first.
And yea, I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

The "Bama Board" had always been free, even under previous ownership, all the way back to when it was "BamaOnLine" in the 90's.
