Well wtf do u suggest, do u want jalen gone? Be on bench and not contribute at all? I just don't get the constant crapping on the guy and alot of it isn't even legit criticism. We lose at least 2 games this yr had Tua started
I do suggest having Hurts on the bench.
The criticism is because Hurts cannot go through progressions, he has no internal clock, he is run first, and he makes costly situational errors.
There's no way to know what the record would be with Tua, but I don't see one game on the schedule that Bama won because of Hurts. You might say Mississippi State, but he was pretty inept until the fourth quarter. Maybe better QB play earlier in the game makes it a more comfortable win. I'd also suggest that Freddie Kitchens or Brian Burgdorf could have gotten 10 wins against this schedule.

Maybe, but does anyone really believe after all the games Jalen has won Saban would be willing to switch him? I just have a hard time believing he would ever pull that trigger
In the off-season? Yes.
Saban fired his OC 7 days before a national title game. I think Saban will do whatever he thinks necessary.

What sucks is we are going to have to put up with that fricktard Huddie Ledbetter's gloating..
Don't forget me. I've been "telling you so" since last October. I'll be formulating my sarcastic thread in my mind for Monday when I'm bored at work.
Kidding. Sort of. But Hurts is what he is - a slow decision maker with mediocre accuracy that has limited the passing game quite a bit.

He has had 22 games to get it together... unfortunately I don't see the progression or improvement.
He's improved. Just not enough to overcome poor OL play and poor game planning.
Our offense also doesn't take advantage of our best skill players. We could have used a couple of a 1 read slants or bubble screens to Ridley/etc to open things up for the RBs. This is where we miss Kiffin.

Bama just ain't good enough this year. Oline / defensive front 7, etc. need to get better. Tua wouldn't have won this game. Some fans need to accept that this is a literal down year for bama. Easier to blame a perfectly serviceable qb for most I guess.

The defense isn't AS good as most years past, but it's pretty damn good. The offensive line is as good as most years. The QB not knowing how to get rid if the ball quickly when he needs to makes them look worse than they are. I've NEVER said Tua should be the starter this year. Freshmen QB's don't win NC's. So, I'd say, as much as anything, it is a down year at QB - we have one guy who isn't good enough in the passing game, and a true freshman.

He can't throw receivers open. He sacrifices valuable plays. Tua is the better passer and that is the qbs primary function. If he can run, it's a bonus, and Tua can do that too.

Aside from that, if we sneak into the playoffs we better get on board with him for at least another month.
