I know exactly how you feel. I retired from the AF in 2012 and it took me 9 years to pull off moving back to Alabama, been here about a year now and it’s great.

I moved back to Alabama after retiring in 2010 but still get the urge to move every few years and am ready to move to the coast - probably somewhere between Gulf Shores and Panama City or the Tampa Bay area. I still enjoy the excitement of moving to new places and experiencing everything those new places have to offer such as restaurants, parks, etc.
