Therein lies Saban's master strategy. Roll with 2-3 QBs a game so DCs don't know who tf they're playing

I think Coker will be named QB Monday.

Coker definitely starts the Wisconsin game. Question now is do we rotate guys? If it is close I'm guessing that won't happen. If we do see a second QB getting a lot of throws, will it be Morris or Bateman?

I'm at least excited about the fact that those guys are in a film room with one of the really good OCs in CFB and either the best or second best CFB coach of all time.

one thing for sure, the dc for wisky is pulling his hair out. hes studying 4-5 qb's rather than 1-2

*First play Saban/Kiffin put Henry in the Wildcat*

*Wisky DC gets up and leaves*

I just think Saban is giving guys their due respect. He knows Coker is the guy and probably doesn't see any benefit or point in publically naming a starter.

all of our QB's are drop back passers with at least one who has good speed. So they are basically getting ready for one style.

Maybe.

If the light has come on for Coker (and never turns off) I'm gonna be hyped. The whole thing with him (at least from my personal hype about him) was his potential. And I said a number of times last year that "if/when the light comes on, look out". Big play potential. Only thing with that the potential for TOs. And his windup would give the better DBs time to jump routes.

With that said if Saban can just record himself saying "Don't force the ball or I'll shove a Little Debbie up your arse" and have Jake listen to it through headphones while sleeping, maybe the message will come across.

I'm just ready to see the offense. I really have no idea what to expect. Saban mentions being more physical, and has hinted at some HUNH. Plus he has said we were working out of the shotgun more.

From a humor stand point that would stick with me. Maybe you should tweet one of the players that

Nope, it's not hinted at. It's been declared 100% outright we doing that shite full time now basically.

In his press conference yesterday he mentioned the lineman saying about which QB they liked "Since we never huddle we don't know who is back there".

Personally I hope we just go to the line and stand there while running out the playclock to 1 second left, change the card every 4 seconds just to frick with everyone.

Gonna laugh if Bateman pulls a Blake Sims and just snatches it away from Coker and Cornwell in the fall.

All we need is an efficient passer that doesnt make mistakes and turn the ball over. We dont need the next Peyton Manning to win a NC. I am perfectly fine with another great game manager like McElroy.

Hate to interrupt the circle jerk but other posters mentioned Bateman.

I watched the press conference and it seemed pretty clear overall that Bateman is the #3 guy.

It's been described by some as I understand it, as the no huddle without the hurry up. It is aimed at preventing the other team from substituting, especially if caught in a favorable defensive scheme while allowing our offensive coaches time to call the play from the sideline.

Alabama's no huddle may not look like Malzahns, with Kifffin on the sideline twirling his hands for the guys to hurry up. If the situation calls for picking up the pace we will. Then it could be truly called the HUNH.

It goes back a couple of years to when Saban asked openly if this is what everyone wants football to become. The Barn and others claimed he was whining and couldn't grasp the genius of what the rule changes allowed guys like Malzahn and others to exploit.
Well it seems to have been answered and I hope the kid from Bama with the crazy face poster gets used as a flash card.
It's also about getting the defense ready for the teams that lean heavily toward a hurry up style of offense.

-----------------------------------

Disclaimer. I rarely know what is going on in my own home. I have not been to a full Alabama practice since Saban was hired, and the last time I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express was 1993. So take it from me a pure speculation. Others may know much more.

Oh I so hope this is true. I have wanted sooooo badly for Saban to troll everyone else by doing this since all this stuff started.
