Does Bill O’Brien care about this team?

Listening to the touchdown Alabama podcast on YouTube and one of the reporters stated that O’Brien told him the reason our offense struggles is because “we’re a good team not a great team”. His nonchalant play calling and effort into game planning shows his feelings. He hasn’t tried to do anything exotic all year to help our struggling offense. No excuse to not have seen Milroe be a change of pace in the red zone to confuse defenses. We run the read in the red zone and everyone knows Bryce isn’t gonna keep it. I feel he’s ripping the university off getting a paycheck without even trying to do his job knowing he’ll be back in the pros next season.

He's not capable of being anything other than what he is. He is who he is in terms of play calling. I don't think it's an effort or laziness thing, he's a playcaller from the mid-2000s NFL and he calls games that way. It's an outdated scheme and it requires stuff that our personnel can't do - especially at the WR position - and so it doesn't work and everything breaks down.

Why would BooB care? He has no ties to Alabama, he’s just getting paid to do a job. He’s a salaried employee, putting his hours in until he can get off work and do something else he enjoys more, like disappointing his wife.

He hadn’t called plays for an offense since 2011 .. why exactly was he hired in the first place?
